
(CNN) – Sen. Rand Paul continued his blitz against Hillary Clinton, arguing Thursday the former secretary of state was involved in changing the Benghazi talking points, despite recently-released e-mails indicating she did not have a direct role in the matter.
The Republican senator of Kentucky–who’s considering a 2016 presidential bid–said that because her spokeswoman at the time, Victoria Nuland, was engaged in the editing process for the talking points, then Clinton must be implicated, as well.

(CNN) - The head of the House Republican campaign arm, Rep. Greg Walden, is getting pushback from both his own party and the White House for bucking the party line and saying the president was wrong to include entitlement changes in his budget proposal.
"I've made it clear that I disagree with what Chairman Walden said," Boehner said in his weekly press conference on Thursday, referring to the chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee.

(CNN) - A bid for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination could be in Rick Perry's future, the Texas governor told CNN's Wolf Blitzer Friday.
"Our legislature will be leaving in approximately 55 days," Perry said on "The Situation Room," adding that "at that particular point in time, I'll sit down with friends and family and make a decision about 2016."

(CNN) – Sen. Dianne Feinstein said Tuesday she’s not going to stop fighting to get a vote on her proposed ban on semi-automatic firearms modeled after military assault weapons, hours after Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said that the measure has no chance of passing the chamber.
“This is very important to me. And I’m not going to lay down and play dead,” Feinstein, D-California, said on CNN’s “The Situation Room.”

(CNN) - Sen. Rand Paul reiterated Tuesday afternoon that he's not calling for a new pathway to citizenship in his immigration proposal, but he's not planning to stand in the way of any undocumented workers who want to eventually become citizens, either.
"It doesn't get you in a green card line. It gets you in a line to enter the country legally to become a citizen like everybody else who wants to come from around the world to be a citizen," he said on CNN's "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer."

(CNN) – Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich says he's unhappy with Sen. John McCain for taking aim at Sen. Rand Paul, a fellow Republican, over the Kentucky senator's nearly-13 hour filibuster this week.
"I'm really disappointed in John McCain, and I'm very saddened by it," Gingrich said Friday on CNN's "The Situation Room." "McCain in his younger years was a great maverick. He took on his party all the time."
