Rubio on 2016: Clinton would 'struggle'

(CNN) - Sen. Marco Rubio questioned how formidable a candidate Hillary Clinton would be if she runs for the White House again.

And Rubio, in an interview on CNN's "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer," indicated that he and his political mentor, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, could potentially go head-to-head as they both weigh 2016 presidential bids.

Romney on 2016: 'The answer is no'

(CNN) – Mitt Romney stressed he is not going to run for president in 2016, despite recent speculation that there could be support for a third Romney run.

"The answer is no, I'm not running for president in 2016. It's time for someone else to take that responsibility and I'll be supporting our nominee," Romney said on CNN's "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer."

Gates on Iran sanctions, Biden and biggest mistakes as defense secretary

(CNN) – Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates is defending his criticism of Vice President Joe Biden's record on national security.

Gates writes in his new book, "Duty: Memoirs of a Secretary at War," that Biden was "wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades."

Rand Paul labels Chris Christie a moderate

(CNN) – Sen. Rand Paul labeled New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie a "moderate" on Tuesday, hours after the governor described himself as a "conservative."

"I think the Republican Party is a big party, and we need moderates like Chris Christie who can win in New Jersey," Paul said on CNN's The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.

Rand Paul on plagiarism: 'We've been sloppy'

(CNN) - Sen. Rand Paul took responsibility Tuesday for instances of plagiarism exposed in his speeches and writings, saying his office has been "sloppy" and pledging to add footnotes to all of his future material.

"Ultimately I'm the boss, and things go out under my name, and so it is my fault," Paul said on CNN's The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.

King hammers away at Paul in GOP infighting

(CNN) – Republican Rep. Peter King of New York fired back at Sen. Rand Paul, who accused him of being part of a Republican wing that’s “all for blowing up stuff, but not too concerned with fiscal responsibility.”

The longtime congressman from Long Island argued Paul and his libertarian-leaning views on foreign policy were making “America the enemy.”
