GOP donors to George P. Bush: Welcome to Washington

Washington (CNN) – Some of Washington's most powerful Republican donors are playing host at a Wednesday evening fundraiser for George P. Bush, a candidate for Texas Land Commissioner and the son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush

Attendees are paying $500 for the event taking place at the National Association of Wholesale-Distributors Office, according to a copy of the invitation. Among those expected to attend are Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, and Rep. Aaron Shock, R-Illinois.

Bush fundraiser: Grandparents host for grandson, Jeb attends

Washington (CNN) - Former President George H.W. Bush and his wife Barbara are giving their grandson's political ambitions a big boost by hosting a Wednesday evening fundraiser for George P. Bush, who is running as a Republican for the post of Texas Land Commissioner, CNN has learned.

The event, to be held at the former president's home in Houston, is also featuring former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, George P.'s father, according to a source with knowledge of it. About 50 people are expected to attend with each paying $10,000.

George P. Bush makes Texas bid official

(CNN) – Another member of the Bush family is making a bid for office in Texas.

George P. Bush, the eldest son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, filed paperwork in the Lone Star State to run for land commissioner, a post that's seen as a jumping-off point for more prominent statewide office.

George P. Bush ‘concerned’ about GOP immigration stance

(CNN) – George P. Bush, nephew of George W. Bush and grandson of George H. W. Bush, said he has “reservations” and “concerns” about the Republican Party’s rhetoric on immigration.

In a sit-down with CNN reporters and producers Tuesday, Bush said that he and other Republicans wish the party would “return to George W. Bush on this issue,” referring to the former president’s bipartisan push to reform the nation’s immigration policy.
