Washington (CNN) – Ari Fleischer knows exactly where he was the morning of Sept. 11, 2001.

The press secretary of former President George W. Bush gave the rest of us a glimpse on Twitter Wednesday, tweeting a page of his handwritten notes detailing the minutes of that morning.

As Obama considers Syria strikes, Bush and Carter weigh in

(CNN) – Two of President Barack Obama's White House predecessors offered their views of his impending decision on Syria Friday as global support for strikes in the country faltered.

Former President George W. Bush, in an interview, said Obama has a "touch choice to make" on potential U.S. military action against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who is accused of using chemical weapons against civilians.

After heart procedure, Bush gets call from Obama

(CNN) – President Barack Obama called his predecessor George W. Bush Wednesday to extend good wishes after the former president underwent a procedure to put a stent in an artery of his heart.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said Thursday that Obama was "glad to hear the procedure went well and former President Bush is recovering."

Bush is home after heart procedure

(CNN) – Former President George W. Bush is home Wednesday a day after having a stent placed in his heart to alleviate a blockage in an artery, according to his spokesman Freddy Ford.

The procedure was "performed successfully," without complication, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas Tuesday morning, Bush's office announced in a statement shortly afterwards.

Bush on track to leave hospital; Clinton reaches out

(CNN) – Former President George W. Bush is recuperating well and is expected to leave the hospital Wednesday, after undergoing surgery Tuesday morning to insert a stent after a blockage was discovered in an artery.

The blockage was detected Monday during Bush’s yearly physical.

Bush undergoes heart procedure

(CNN) – Former President George W. Bush, 67, underwent a procedure Tuesday morning to have a stent placed in his heart one day after a blockage was discovered in an artery, according to a statement from his office.

In the statement released by Bush's spokesman, the procedure was "performed successfully," without complication, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas.

Obama evokes George W. Bush in push for immigration reform

(CNN) – The massive overhaul of the nation's immigration system that was approved by the Senate last month should be adopted by the House, President Barack Obama argued Saturday.

Speaking in his weekly address, Obama pointed to similar immigration changes that were pushed by his predecessor, Republican President George W. Bush, who gave a soft endorsement this week of new reform laws.

Former undocumented immigrant at Bush naturalization event

Dallas (CNN) - Former President George W. Bush on Wednesday welcomed newly sworn-in citizens at a naturalization ceremony, offering each individual a certificate and handshake before giving his own address on immigration reform.

Among the newly naturalized at the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas, Danny Diaz admitted he illegally crossed the U.S.- Mexico border in 1994 in a long journey from his native Guatemala.

Dallas (CNN) – There was no impassioned plea to pass immigration reform. But the image was unmistakable.

The sight of former President George W. Bush welcoming newly sworn-in citizens at a naturalization ceremony at his library and museum in Dallas on Wednesday offered a sharp contrast to the hardening opposition to immigration legislation in Washington.

Bush sees positives for U.S. in Egypt, Arab Spring

(CNN) – When the dust settles from the protests in Egypt and other Arab nations, the resulting political balance will be favorable to the United States, former President George W. Bush predicts.

"I think (it's) a good thing," he said in an interview with ABC News broadcast Sunday, speaking broadly about the Arab Spring, the string of protests in the Middle East and North Africa stretching back more than two years.
