Cain picks up where Boortz left off

(CNN) – Herman Cain's taking to the air waves again.

The former Republican presidential candidate will fill the spot left vacant by retiring radio host Neal Boortz, who announced his decision Monday on his program.

On third endorsement, Cain backs Romney

(CNN) – Herman Cain, who suspended his own bid for the GOP presidential nomination amid a flurry of allegations of past sexual impropriety, backed Mitt Romney Wednesday – his third endorsement after dropping out of the race.

Cain, the former chief executive of Godfather's Pizza, held an endorsement event in Washington, D.C., where he was flanked by Rep. Michele Bachmann, herself a former presidential candidate, and Rep. Steve King of Iowa.

On Gingrich, Cain jumps ship for Romney

(CNN) – Once the dynamic duo, Herman Cain has dropped his support for Newt Gingrich, saying on Monday it was time for the GOP presidential candidate to abandon his quest for more delegates.

"To Newt Gingrich I would say, 'Speaker Gingrich, with all due respect, let's get on with this, OK?'" the former White House hopeful said in a radio interview with WMAL in Washington.

Wisconsin paper backs Romney, citing 'pragmatism'

(CNN) – A major Wisconsin newspaper which has a tendency to back Democratic candidates offered a hesitant endorsement of Mitt Romney on Saturday, calling him the "clear choice in an uninspired – and now dwindling – field."

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel suggested Romney would benefit by shifting his positions on climate change, immigration, and taxes, and said his "moderate impulses" offer a level of promise.

Cain to stump for Gingrich in Georgia

San Francisco, California (CNN) - Newt Gingrich will be joined by another Georgia political heavyweight when he travels to that state later this week.

Gingrich spokesman R.C. Hammond confirms that businessman and former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain will campaign with the former Georgia congressman Saturday. There will be a rally in Cobb County Saturday afternoon. Earlier in the day, Gingrich holds two town halls in Forsyth and Gwinnett counties. He will kick off his visit with a rally in Peachtree City Friday evening.

Herman Cain endorses Gingrich

(CNN) - Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain endorsed Newt Gingrich Saturday at an event in West Palm Beach, Florida.

"I hereby officially and enthusiastically endorse Newt Gingrich for president of the United States," Cain said during a meeting of the Palm Beach County Republican Party.

Cain slated for tea party response to State of the Union

(CNN) – The Tea Party Express announced Thursday it would again provide its own response to President Barack Obama's State of the Union address, this year with former presidential candidate Herman Cain as the headliner.

Cain, who dropped out of the 2012 race in December, will deliver the rebuttal to Obama January 24.

Washington (CNN) - Nearly a year ago on February 12, 2011, Rep. Ron Paul won the CPAC straw poll. But the result was less important - it was a straw poll after all, and we know how much they mean - than who was included on the massive 15-person ballot. Chris Christie! Sarah Palin! The pizza guy Herman Cain in his pre-999 days! This was going to be such an exciting 2012 GOP race.

And then ... it wasn't.
