It's official: Jack Lew's new signature

New York (CNNMoney) - It's official: Treasury Secretary Jack Lew has undergone a transformation, at least when it comes to penmanship.

The Treasury Department on Tuesday unveiled Lew's official new signature, which will soon grace the bottom right corner of every bill in your wallet.

Is Jack Lew changing his signature?

(CNN) - As Treasury Secretary Jack Lew was undergoing Senate confirmation hearings earlier this year for his Cabinet post, he took some ribbing over his loopty loop signature–one that would appear on printed currency.

A little more than two months into the job, the new secretary is signing documents with a different, more legible 'John Hancock'...errrr...Jack Lew.

Lew confirmed as Treasury secretary

Washington (CNN) - The Senate voted on Wednesday to confirm Jack Lew as U.S. Treasury secretary.

Lew, 57, most recently served as the White House chief-of-staff. He was confirmed with a 71-26 vote. Compared with the bruising confirmation battle of Chuck Hagel as Defense secretary, Lew's was a breeze.

Lew moves closer to confirmation with Senate Finance vote

(CNN) - Jack Lew came one step closer to Senate confirmation as President Barack Obama's second Treasury secretary when the Senate Finance Committee approved his nomination Tuesday.

His nomination now goes to the full Senate where he is expected to be easily confirmed – especially compared to Obama's nominee for Defense secretary, former Sen. Chuck Hagel, who faced a Republican filibuster of his nomination

Republicans grilling Treasury Secretary nominee

Washington (CNNMoney) – Treasury Secretary nominee Jack Lew faced some tough questions during his first confirmation hearing on Wednesday, as Republicans targeted his experience at Citigroup during the financial crisis.

In particular, lawmakers on the Senate Finance Committee asked Lew, now the White House Chief of Staff, about a fund organized in the Cayman Islands that he and other Citigroup employees invested in while he was employed there.

Obama to name Jack Lew his Treasury Secretary

Washington (CNNMoney) – President Obama will nominate his White House chief of staff, Jacob "Jack" Lew, to be the next U.S. Treasury Secretary on Thursday, according to a White House official.

Lew, 57, has been the leading candidate for months and would be the second Treasury Secretary during the Obama administration. Obama is expected to make the announcement during an early afternoon event in the East Room of the White House.
