
(CNN) – Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney appeared on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno on Friday and weighed in on the barrage of controversies plaguing the White House in recent weeks.
The former Massachusetts governor said he's “over” the election but is "not a fan of the president." He said a special counsel should be appointed to investigate the Obama administration and the IRS’ targeting of conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status.

Asked about his debate "brain freeze," in which he forgot the third of three agencies he would cut as president, the GOP presidential candidate joked: "Well, you know, one, two, and then - uh, uh. It happens, man. Let me tell you."

LOS ANGELES (CNN) - President Barack Obama addressed a broad range of political topics during an appearance on NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" Tuesday, insisting among other things that he's not spending too much time yet focused on next year's potential GOP campaign rivals.
"I'm going to wait until everybody's voted off the island," Obama joked. "Once they narrow it down to one or two (candidates), I'll start paying attention."

FULL STORY(CNN) – Speculation has swirled over whether Republican former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will run for president in 2012, and in a late night television appearance Wednesday he said it will be clear when and if he's throwing his hat in the ring.
"If you ever see me sign up for a gig on Fox News, it'll be a clear indication that I've decided to run for president," Romney joked on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," a reference to the five potential 2012 candidates that appear on the network. "That's not in the cards anytime soon, thanks."
