Juneau, Alaska (CNN) – For one side, the numbers in the write-in count here are encouraging. For the other, potentially daunting: nearly 98 percent for Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski – and 0.01 percent for GOP challenger Joe Miller.
Those are the current numbers in the dramatic write-in vote count in Alaska to decide the nation's last, undecided Senate race.
Juneau, Alaska (CNN) - Officials in Alaska have released fresh numbers in the nation's last, undecided Senate battle.

Juneau, Alaska (CNN) – Observers who are following the drama in the nation's last, undecided Senate battle may want to re-arrange their weekend plans.
An official tells CNN that Alaska's write-in ballot count, that began on Wednesday, could stretch into the weekend. Officials had previously thought it could be wrapped up on Friday.
(CNN) - Alaska election officials will begin counting write-in ballots Wednesday despite a federal court challenge by the campaign of Republican U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller, state director Gail Fenumiai said.
The complaint filed in federal court Tuesday afternoon asks Fenumiai's office to "adhere" to state law in the counting of write-in ballots, limiting what the suit called "subjective" voter intent rules that were issued this week.

(CNN) - Sen. Lisa Murkowski's bid to become only the second person to win a write-in campaign for U.S. Senate appeared on track in Alaska early Wednesday, with write-in candidates leading a Tea Party-backed Republican who beat her in a primary.
But even if the write-ins remained ahead of Republican nominee Joe Miller and Democratic candidate Scott McAdams, the outcome of Alaska's Tuesday general election apparently wouldn't be known for days, because officials need to determine which write-in votes actually went to Murkowski.
(CNN) - A new 30-second spot by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee went up Saturday in Alaska going after Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski as someone who has "gone Washington."
"Maybe it was the fancy cocktail parties or all those pretty monuments," the narrator says. "Whatever the reason, Lisa Murkowski has gone Washington."
(CNN) – Amid polls showing a neck-and-neck Senate race in Alaska, Sarah Palin offered a hearty endorsement of Republican nominee Joe Miller Thursday night and called incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski's actions "shameful."
"Let's call her the candidate for the entitlement party," Palin proclaimed of Murkowski at the evening rally with Miller at her side. "She can't really find a party. Not independent, not Republican."
(CNN) - The witching hour has come early in Alaska, in the form of a Halloween web video by Republican Senate nominee Joe Miller.
Miller won the GOP primary earlier this year against incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski who is now running as an independent write-in candidate.
"My opponent is not a witch, but she sure has conjured up some pretty crazy votes in D.C.," Miller says at the beginning of the ad, a reference to Delaware Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell saying over a decade ago that she "dabbled in witchcraft."
