Huntsman hits Romney ahead of N.H. primary

(CNN) - Asked about Mitt Romney on Thursday, Republican presidential candidate Jon Huntsman described the former Massachusetts governor as an inconsistent candidate.

"What is your core? You run for the Senate as a liberal. You run for governor as a moderate. You run for president as a conservative," Huntsman said on CNN's "John King, U.S.A." "People want to know who you were yesterday and what you're going to be tomorrow."

Boston Globe backs Huntsman

(CNN) - Five days before New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation primary, The Boston Globe gave its nod to Republican presidential hopeful Jon Huntsman, saying he offers the Republican Party an opportunity to "renew itself."

"Rather than merely sketch out policies, he articulates goals and ideals," the Massachusetts paper said of the former Utah governor. "The priorities he would set for the country, from leading the world in renewable energy to retooling education and immigration policies to help American high-tech industries, are far-sighted."

Huntsman adviser calls for aggressive South Carolina push

Des Moines, Iowa (CNN) - One of Jon Huntsman's chief strategists is calling for an aggressive campaign in South Carolina, even if the former Utah governor falls short of winning the New Hampshire primary - the centerpiece of his nomination strategy.

Paul primary victory unlikely, candidates agree

(CNN) – Though the Republican presidential candidates differ on whether they would support Ron Paul as their party's nominee, they agree it is a choice they will never have to make.
