Primary update, 11:20 p.m. ET: Nevada

Washington (CNN) - Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons lost his bid Tuesday for re-election, the Associated Press projects.

Brian Sandoval, a former federal judge, won the Republican primary. Meanwhile, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s son, Rory, won the Democratic gubernatorial nomination.

GOP gubernatorial primary:
Brian Sandoval – 41,662 56.7%
Jim Gibbons (incumbent) – 18,877 25.7%
Michael Montadon – 9,397 12.8%

Primary update, 11:17 p.m. ET: Arkansas

Washington (CNN) – Arkansas Sen. Blanche Lincoln has defeated Lt. Gov. Bill Halter in Tuesday’s Senate Democratic primary runoff and Halter has publicly conceded the race.

Bill Halter – 115,258 48.2%

Primary update, 10:11 p.m. ET: South Carolina

(CNN) - The Associated Press projects that state Rep. Nikki Haley and Congressman Gresham Barrett will meet in a June 22 runoff election to determine the Republican nominee for South Carolina governor. Haley, they predict, will come up shy of the 50% threshold necessary to avoid a runoff.

GOP gubernatorial primary:
Nikki Haley – 194,134 49.0%
Gresham Barrett – 85,579 21.6%
Henry McMaster – 67,608 17.1%
Andre Bauer – 49,051 12.4%
