Romney names possible running mate

(CNN) – GOP presidential front-runner Mitt Romney on Monday dropped a name for a possible running mate should he secure his party's nomination.

"There are probably 15 names of people, including (New Hampshire Sen.) Kelly Ayotte," Romney said in an interview on Fox News. "I mean, there are terrific Republicans in the Senate, in the House, in governors' offices."

Who can make a difference in New Hampshire?

Manchester, New Hampshire (CNN) – Mitt Romney snapped up two of the biggest endorsements in New Hampshire last weekend - in particular Sen. Kelly Ayotte, easily the most valuable endorsement in the state so far.

But with the first-in-the-nation primary just seven weeks away, which state Republicans are left who could still jump in and make a difference in the GOP presidential contest?

Palin grabs coffee with Ayotte in New Hampshire

Portsmouth, New Hampshire (CNN) - For all the speculation about her motives, Sarah Palin ended the first leg of her unconventional nationwide bus tour by doing something very candidate-like: Meeting a top elected official over coffee at a quaint New Hampshire diner.

The potential White House hopeful sat down with Republican Sen. Kelly Ayotte, one of Palin's so-called "Mama Grizzlies" from the 2010 election cycle, at the Golden Egg Diner in Portsmouth.

Senators misled by likely fake bin Laden photos

Washington (CNN) – Several senators said Wednesday they had seen a photograph of Osama bin Laden after he was shot, describing it to reporters and using it to help form their opinion on whether or not President Obama should release pictures of the dead terrorist.

Now, on a day when fake photographs of a dead bin Laden are flying around the internet, those senators say they cannot be sure whether what they saw and talked to reporters about was real.
