
(CNN) – With more than 20 months to go before the midterm congressional elections, incumbent Sen. Mitch McConnell's team is already attacking Democrats for not yet fielding a candidate to challenge the Senate minority leader.
McConnell's campaign released Tuesday its first web video of the campaign, a parody that attempts to depict President Barack Obama as being frustrated with the potential crop of Democratic contenders in the state.

(CNN) – The U.S. Senate race in Kentucky is already the nastiest Senate fight in the country, twenty-one months before voters head to the polls.
Without an official Democratic candidate in the race, Republicans are going after actress Ashley Judd, who has expressed interest in running for the seat but has yet to officially declare her candidacy. She did, however, set up a feature for soliciting emails addresses on her website this week.

(CNN) – She's not yet a candidate for any public office, but actress Ashley Judd already has an outside group creating an attack ad casting her as out of touch from her years in Hollywood.
The web spot, from American Crossroads, comes as Judd openly speculates about a 2014 run for U.S. Senate in Kentucky, where she'd potentially be pitted against Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. American Crossroads is the pro-Republican super PAC co-founded by Karl Rove. They said they were spending $10,000 to place the ad online.
