Washington (CNN) – As the next battle for the Senate heats up, the Democrat's re-election committee brought in more money than its Republican counterpart in February.
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Monday reports raising more than $3.4 million last month, which they say is the strongest February cash haul by either Senate party committee ever in an off election year.

(CNN) - The National Republican Senatorial Committee wants supporters to 'Stop the Cheer Captain' before he starts. Though Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine hasn't yet made a decision on a U.S. Senate bid for Virginia's open seat, the NRSC has launched a new website to rally voters wishing to stop him in his tracks.
The website, found at cheerleaderinchief.com, depicts a pom-pom wielding Kaine in a cheerleader's uniform backed by less than cheerful chants about the chairman's performance. Described as "dunkin on that stimulus, oh, he fumbled," Kaine is encouraged to "rock that rubberstamp" in a parody that is accompanied by an "album" of photos featuring Kaine with the commander-in-chief and Democratic leaders. "Captain" Kaine is branded as Obama's "number one cheerleader, cheering from the left."

Washington (CNN) - The fundraising outlook is better for Republicans than Democrats this month, since the GOP outraised the current Senate majority party by roughly $200,000.
Though the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee broke its own fundraising record for the first month of an election cycle by bringing in $2.63 million, the National Republican Senatorial Committee edged out Dem fundraising numbers by taking in $2.86 million in the month of January.

Washington (CNN) - The National Republican Senatorial Committee says it isn't taking sides in any battle down the road for the party's Senate nomination in Missouri.
The primary winner there will take on freshman Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill, who's up for re-election 2012.
A Republican party source confirms to CNN reports that Sen. John Cornyn, the NRSC chairman, spoke before Thanksgiving with former Missouri Treasurer Sarah Steelman about a possible bid for the Senate nomination. The source tells CNN that Steelman called Cornyn, rather than the other way around, and that Cornyn suggested to Steelman that if she thought she could mount a good campaign, then she should run.

Washington (CNN) – On the day that Sen. John Cornyn of Texas was re-elected as chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, the rival Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee announced it outraised the NRSC by more than $3 million last month.
The DSCC said Tuesday that it brought in $17.4 million in October, topping the NRSC's $14.2 million raised last month. The DSCC says it raised more than $107 million for the midterm election cycle, nearly $15 million than the NRSC brought in during the same period. And the DSCC points out to CNN that they outraised the NRSC in eight of the ten months this year.

(CNN) - Sen. John Cornyn is expected Tuesday to formally make a bid for another two years as chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
GOP sources confirm to CNN that the Texas Republican will put his name up for nomination for re-election as NRSC chairman, as the Senate Republican Conference meets behind closed doors. According to the sources, the two-term senator is not expected to face any opposition in his bid to remain as NRSC chairman, and has already secured the support of a number of new Republican Senators, including Marco Rubio of Florida, Rand Paul of Kentucky, Rob Portman of Ohio, and Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire.

Washington (CNN) - National Republicans are dropping more cash into California's close contest for the Senate.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee says it's injecting $3 million in ad spending into California this week on behalf of GOP Senate nominee Carly Fiorina. They say that brings to nearly $8 million the amount the NRSC has spent on behalf of the former Hewlett-Packard CEO.
The ad buy comes as a Los Angeles Times/USC poll indicated that three-term Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer held a 50 to 42 percent advantage over Fiorina among likely California voters.

(CNN) – The National Republican Senatorial Committee spent $162,000 on an independent expenditure effort in Alaska, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission Wednesday.
The money represents the first influx of cash by the NRSC into the Senate race, suggesting Republicans are worried about the seat. The funds are most likely an advertising buy for Republican Senate candidate Joe Miller, indicating that Republicans are nervous about the tight race.

(CNN) – Polls and pundits may have Republicans winning Senate seats in the November elections, but it's Democrats who are the recent money winners - the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) raised $27 million in the last three months, according to a statement released Friday.
Over $15 million of that total was raised in September, a figure that trumps the $8.3 million the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) raised in the same month, according to their statement.

(CNN) - The National Republican Senatorial Committee is committing an additional $1.8 million to Carly Fiorina's bid to unseat Democrat Sen. Barbara Boxer, according to two Republican sources.
This will bring the committee to $4.8 million invested which is the total amount allowed by federal election law in a coordinated campaign. The money is being shifted from Florida, where Republican candidate Marco Rubio seems to have solidified a strong lead.
