(CNN) – Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday once again squashed notions that she would accept a gig as President Barack Obama's running mate this fall.

"That is not going to happen," Clinton said in an interview to air on CNN's "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer." "That's like saying if the Olympic Committee called you up and said are you ready to run the marathon would you accept. Well, it is not going to happen."

Washington (CNN) – President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden tag team Thursday as they continue their push for the so-called "Buffett Rule," and they're making their pitches in crucial battleground states.

As the vice president heads to Exeter, New Hampshire to give a campaign speech in favor of the legislation that would mandate that Americans earning more than $1 million per year pay a 30% tax rate, the president stays at the White House but is expected to tout the proposal in interviews with local television stations in four other swing states.

(CNN) - Vice President Joe Biden defended President Barack Obama on Sunday, saying the president was only stating "the obvious" in his "hot mic" moment with the Russian president earlier this week.

"The idea that in this election year we're going to be able to deal with an agreement with the Russians on further reducing our nuclear arsenals ... is difficult," Biden said on CBS's "Face the Nation."

First on CNN: Biden's campaign plan

(CNN) – Vice President Joe Biden will continue his campaign tour at senior centers in Florida next week, where he will promote the White House's stance on Medicare and hit a Republican budget plan, a senior Democratic official said Thursday.

The information comes the same day Biden hit the campaign trail in Ohio, where for the first time this year he hit Republican presidential candidates by name, saying Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum would "bankrupt the middle class."
