With convention speakers named, Romney's VP list appears to narrow

(CNN) – Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley - three women rumored to be under consideration as Mitt Romney's running mate - will have high profile speaking roles at the Republican National Convention, organizers will announce Monday.

Weather will influence Iowa caucuses, Huckabee says

(CNN) – If the weather is good on January 3, Mitt Romney will win the Iowa caucuses; if the weather is bad, a weaker turnout will result in a victorious Ron Paul, former Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee predicted Sunday.

Huckabee, who won the Iowa caucuses in 2008, said the devotion disparity between supporters of the two contenders could greatly impact the outcome in the early voting state.

"I am honored to have the Governor join me on stage for this historic event," Cain said in a statement. The duo will perform together at the Friends of Herman Cain tent during festivities leading up to the matchup that tests candidate strength and organization in the first-in-the-nation caucus state.
