Washington (CNN) - Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal expressed support Sunday for his New Jersey counterpart Chris Christie, telling CNN the New Jersey governor should keep his position as chairman of the Republican Governors Association.

(CNN) – House Republicans agreed Friday that they would demand conditions for raising the nation's debt ceiling, according to several sources who attended a closed-door discussion at the annual GOP strategy retreat in Cambridge, Maryland.
Extending U.S. borrowing in the early part of this year is the next potential confrontation on fiscal policy with Democrats and President Barack Obama, who has said he would not negotiate over the issue.
Washington (CNN) – If you tune in to CNN’s coverage of President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address on Tuesday night, you’ll find plenty of intelligent reporting, insightful analysis, and a robust and thoughtful discussion of the most important issues facing our nation.
You won't find any of that here. But where else will you find the answers to burning questions such as, “What color necktie did Obama wear in 2011?” and “What the heck is that thing in front of John Boehner?”
Washington (CNN) - Whichever language you speak, the Republican response to the State of the Union address tomorrow night will be in a woman’s voice.
Florida Republican Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen will give a Spanish version of the party’s response to President Barack Obama’s annual speech, her office tells CNN. That will parallel the response Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Washington, plans to give in English and will mark the first time that the GOP has tapped two women to give its official rebuttal of the President’s remarks.
(CNN) – Pre-empting President Barack Obama's State of the Union address Tuesday and the GOP response, Republican Sen. Roy Blunt of Missouri on Saturday sought to get ahead of the conversation.
The President "has a lot of explaining to do" in his speech, Blunt said in the GOP weekly address, criticizing Obama's so-called "Year of Action," a blueprint for 2014 touted by the White House.
Washington (CNN) - The GOP-led House of Representatives will kick off 2014 – a midterm election year – addressing an issue it spent much of last year debating: Obamacare.
House Majority Leader Eric Cantor announced Thursday the House's first order of business when it returns next week from its extended holiday break would be a vote on legislation to address potential security risks for personal information collected on the Obamacare website, HealthCare.gov.
Washington (CNN) – If you are like most Americans, you imbibed in a few (or too many) drinks to ring in 2014 on Tuesday night. But did you ever stop to consider what those drinks say about your political leanings?
The answer is a lot, according to two years of consumer data from GFK MRI that was analyzed by the right-leaning National Media Research Planning and Placement.
Washington (CNN) – A growing partisan divide is emerging between Republicans and Democrats on human evolution, according to a poll by the Pew Research Center.

Washington (CNN) - Three Republican Senators who are considered possible contenders for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination are all thumbs down on a bipartisan budget compromise that would prevent another government shutdown if approved by Congress.
Marco Rubio of Florida, Rand Paul of Kentucky, and Ted Cruz of Texas are critical of the deal struck Tuesday between House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, last year's GOP vice presidential nominee, and his Senate counterpart, Democrat Patty Murray, that would set spending levels, reduce the deficit, and relieve some of the forced spending cuts known as sequestration.
Washington (CNN) – A group of 11 House Republicans will introduce a resolution Thursday calling for the impeachment of Eric Holder, saying the Attorney General has lost credibility and trust over a string of issues in recent years.
The articles of impeachment, drafted by Rep. Pete Olson of Texas, faults the Attorney General for refusing to comply with a congressional investigation of the botched gun-walking operation known as "Fast and Furious," led by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.
