(CNN) - The Obama administration's decision to close for tours while at the same time releasing hundreds of millions of dollars in aid to Egypt amounts to political gamesmanship, according to Sen. Rand Paul.
Reacting to Secretary of State John Kerry's move last week to release $250 million in economic aid to Egypt, Paul on Monday harked back to the news that tours of the executive mansion have been suspended as mandatory across-the-board spending cuts take effect.
(CNN) – Former Rep. Ron Paul, normally known for his online popularity, drew criticism Monday for asserting a political opinion in a tweet about the Navy SEAL who was killed at a gun range this weekend.
Chris Kyle's death seems to confirm that "he who lives by the sword dies by the sword." Treating PTSD at a firing range doesn't make sense—

(CNN) - Mitt Romney may have lost the presidential race to President Barack Obama, but he can find some comfort in knowing that he beat at least 68 other Americans who received votes for president in November. In fact, 2.2 million voters cast their ballots for someone other than Obama or Romney, comprising 1.7% of the total vote.
Among those who received votes: Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson placed third with nearly 1.3 million votes; Green Party nominee Jill Stein placed fourth with more than 469,000 votes; and former U.S. Rep. Virgil Goode, the Constitution Party nominee, placed fifth with more than 122,000 votes.
(CNN) - It looks like neither Mitt Romney nor President Barack Obama will land the endorsement of former GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul in this final hour of election 2012.
In an Election Day interview on CNN's "Newsroom," the Texas congressman said he won't back either candidate because he sees little difference between them.
(CNN) - Jesse Benton, a top political adviser to both Rep. Ron Paul and his son, Sen. Rand Paul, will head Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell's bid for re-election, Benton said Thursday.
Benton acted as Ron Paul's campaign manager during the Texas congressman's bid for the Republican nomination earlier this cycle. In 2010 Benton led Rand Paul's tea party-backed bid for Senate in Kentucky.
Tampa, Florida (CNN) - A large number of Ron Paul supporters marched through the halls of the Tampa Bay Times Forum, site of the Republican convention, protesting what they feel is unfair treatment by organizers against them.
The group, estimated at several hundred, marched through the upper hallways of the site shouting "As Maine goes, so goes the nation" in protest of the Republican National Committee voting not to seat 10 delegates from Maine and replacing them with pro-Mitt Romney ones. Also 10 alternates were not seated.
Tampa, Florida (CNN) - A small but enthusiastic group of Ron Paul supporters Monday gave an early indication of the presence they hope to have at this week's Republican convention.
After the gavel closed a shortened session Monday afternoon, two dozen supporters of the Texas congressman congregated under a large sign on the convention floor reading "We can do better."
Tampa, Florida (CNN) - As Rep. Ron Paul's third presidential bid is set to come to its formal end at the Republican National Convention, Paul sought to rally his loyal supporters with talk of a new era in American history.
"I'm convinced that we're living at the end of an era," Paul told the crowd at a rally in honor of him and his libertarian political movement. "The end of an era provides an opportunity," Paul added before laying out his view that an era in American government, foreign policy, and monetary policy that began in 1913 is coming to an end roughly a century later.
Tampa, Florida (CNN) - Mitt Romney's presidential campaign said Friday that they plan to air a video tribute to Rep. Ron Paul, his former Republican primary rival, during the second night of the Republican National Convention.
The olive branch from the Romney team comes after months of grassroots organizing by Paul's fiercely loyal supporters, some of whom had hoped to nominate the libertarian-leaning congressman on the convention floor.
Tampa, Florida (CNN) – A stand off between Ron Paul supporters and the Republican National Committee over convention delegates appears to be easing, and both sides are close to announcing a deal that could help avoid a potentially embarrassing moment for Mitt Romney on the day he receives the GOP presidential nomination.
The deal, which is expected to be announced Tuesday afternoon, will seat more Paul delegates at next week's Republican National Convention, an act that could help prevent an organized effort by Paul supporters to try and bring Monday's opening session to a grinding halt.
