(CNN) - As a woman and her husband were opening a late-arriving Christmas box on Tuesday, they found among their own gifts a present from President Barack Obama and his family.
Alane Church, who lives in Wadsworth, Illinois, north of Chicago, said they discovered an already-opened gift addressed to "Mama Kaye," a close friend of the first family and the godmother to Sasha and Malia Obama.

(CNN) - First lady Michelle Obama and her daughters are headed out West this weekend for their annual ski trip with family friends, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Friday.
The White House wasn't specific on their skiing destination. Last year, they went to Aspen, Colorado. In 2011 and 2010, the first lady and her daughters, Malia and Sasha, stayed in Vail.
