Obama set to rake in millions, despite criticism of fundraising during tumult

Seattle (CNN) – Republicans and some political pundits have taken sharp aim at President Barack Obama for maintaining his fundraising schedule amid a period of global unrest.

Not among those complaining? Democrats who stand to benefit from the millions of dollars in campaign cash Obama will help pull in this week during a three-day West Coast swing, bringing him into the homes of entertainment and real estate bigwigs in Seattle, the Silicon Valley and Los Angeles.

A fundraising first for Obama

(CNN) - President Barack Obama is about to do something he's never done before.

The President will headline a roundtable event for the Senate Majority PAC Tuesday evening in New York City. It's the first time Obama has served as the main attraction at a fundraiser for the organization, which is the major outside group assisting Democratic Senate incumbents and candidates running in this year's midterm elections.

Democrats record anti-GOP ad at GOP victory celebration

(CNN) - A leading pro-Democratic outside group is up with a new television commercial that attacks the GOP's new Senate nominee in North Carolina.

But the most interesting part of the ad by Senate Majority PAC is that the woman narrating the spot infiltrated Tuesday's victory celebration for the candidate, North Carolina House Speaker Thom Tillis.
