(CNN) – Govs. Chris Christie and Susana Martinez certainly weren't trying to tamp down their mutual admiration Thursday, making a joint appearance that could further fuel speculation of a potential presidential ticket.
Talking to reporters after a meet-and-greet in Roswell, New Mexico, Christie labeled Martinez "one of my best friends in the entire Republican Governors Association."

Washington (CNN) – Congressional leaders, potential presidential candidates and party elders will come together next week in the nation's capital to help fill New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez's political war chest, CNN has learned.

Nikki Haley - three women rumored to be under consideration as Mitt Romney's running mate - will have high profile speaking roles at the Republican National Convention, organizers will announce Monday.
The naming of the three women most likely means that Romney's campaign is no longer vetting their backgrounds, if they ever did.
Washington (CNN) - At the Council on Foreign relations this week, Sen. Marco Rubio talked tough on the international hotspot of the day, Syria.
