Scott Brown has a talented pocket

(CNN) – Former Sen. Scott Brown said he wasn't drunk when he tweeted this: "Bqhatevwr."

The Massachusetts Republican, who was ousted from his seat in November, sparked a round of questions on Twitter last month after posting multiple late-night tweets, including one that seemed to come from some fumbling thumbs.

To tweet or not to tweet? Balancing decorum with rapid response

Washington (CNN) - Who needs an official response, when you can react to the State of the Union before the president has even finished speaking?

Sending a tweet or updating Facebook from the House floor, even in the middle of the State of the Union address, is allowed, according to House rules. This permits members of Congress to almost instantly respond to President Barack Obama's State of the Union address on Tuesday.

#whatdifferencedoesitmake: Clinton quote goes viral on Twitter

(CNN) - If Hillary Clinton decides to run for president in 2016, some critics on Twitter already know what slogan she should use: "What difference does it make?"

In a heated moment of anger, the secretary of state asked the question as she fought back criticism before the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee on Wednesday during a hearing on last year's U.S. consulate attack in Libya.

Obama takes fiscal cliff talk to Twitter

Washington (CNN) - President Barack Obama took his message on the so-called fiscal cliff negotiations to Twitter Monday, personally responding to a handful of selected tweets regarding the ongoing debate over proposed changes to taxes and spending.

But while Twitter may have provided a fairly new venue for Obama to convey his message (he’s personally used Twitter only a handful of times), the president’s talking points on the issue mirrored those he has delivered repeatedly since negotiations began in earnest last month.

President uses hashtag 'My2K' in fiscal cliff PR effort

(CNN) – The White House looked to harness the power of social media – again – to boost its public relations push on the fiscal cliff by launching the #My2K hashtag Wednesday.

The effort to popularize the Twitter subject hashtag coincided with President Barack Obama's meeting Wednesday with 85 Americans who answered a White House email sent out last week asking why extending middle class tax cuts was important for Americans.

Weiner returns to Twitter

(CNN) – Former Rep. Anthony Weiner posted his first tweet Wednesday since resigning nearly 18 months ago over a scandal involving lewd photos and messages he sent via Twitter.

The former Democratic congressman's new tweet simply included a link to a YouTube video raising awareness for the storm-ruined Rockaways, a peninsula that partly falls in his old congressional district in Queens and Brooklyn.
