Portland, Oregon (CNN) - The presidential limousine, known colloquially as 'The Beast,' carried what was probably one of its youngest passengers ever on Wednesday evening.

Washington 12:34 p.m. - President Obama watched as the first of the trapped Chilean miners were rescued Tuesday night and found the story "inspirational," according to White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs.
Gibbs quoted the President as saying the rescue was "a story with a happy ending" and he is "enormously proud" of the efforts of the American companies and federal agencies who assisted the Chilean government in the rescue efforts.
