WH Dispatch: Midterm global image makeover?

Washington (CNN) – The ground may shift under the Capitol on Tuesday, but the White House is not concerned that midterm election tremors will impact America's image abroad.

White House Dispatch: 'Baby on Board' in the Beast

Portland, Oregon (CNN) - The presidential limousine, known colloquially as 'The Beast,' carried what was probably one of its youngest passengers ever on Wednesday evening.

President Obama, who flew to Oregon as part of a five state campaign swing for Democratic candidates, was greeted by his longtime friend from Hawaii, Greg Orme, his wife, and their newborn child as the president walked off Air Force One.

White House Dispatch: President hands off to first lady

COLUMBUS, Ohio 3:52 p.m. - Not to be a Monday morning quarterback, but White House officials may have fumbled when they picked the campus of Ohio State University for President Obama's attempt to fire up local Democrats at a campaign rally Sunday night.

After all, there are a lot of long faces on this campus after the Ohio State Buckeyes football team was knocked out of its top spot in the nation in a crushing road loss, 31-18, to the Wisconsin Badgers, and folks here may not be in such a great mood.

White House Dispatch: Bush Cabinet official to visit Oval Office

Washington (CNN) - President Obama has been known to occasionally criticize the Bush administration, but he's rolling out the red carpet for a member of the former President's Cabinet.

On Friday, Mr. Obama is scheduled to sit down in the Oval Office with former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Washington (CNN) –The Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate is leading by double digits in Delaware, but that isn't stopping President Obama and Vice President Biden from stumping for Chris Coons on Friday.

Delaware's senatorial battle has gained national attention, and a debate between Coons and the Republican challenger Christine O'Donnell was broadcast live on CNN Wednesday night.

White House Dispatch: the color pink

11:15 a.m. - The White House will look a little different Thursday evening after the North Portico is lit in pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The change in lighting will happen at 6:30pm eastern time according Deputy Press Secretary Bill Burton, who made the announcement on Twitter.

WH Dispatch: Obama on Chilean Miners

Washington 12:34 p.m. - President Obama watched as the first of the trapped Chilean miners were rescued Tuesday night and found the story "inspirational," according to White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs.

Gibbs quoted the President as saying the rescue was "a story with a happy ending" and he is "enormously proud" of the efforts of the American companies and federal agencies who assisted the Chilean government in the rescue efforts.

Oil moratorium could be lifted soon
