Source: Clintons livid with Weiner personally, disputes NY Post

(CNN) – Bill and Hillary Clinton are "livid" with New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner, a source close to the couple said Monday in response to a report in The New York Post.

The source disputed the story in the Post that said the Clintons are "livid" at comparisons made between Weiner and the former president. Instead the source said the Clintons' anger stemmed from their personal relationship with Abedin and not from any political concerns about their association with Weiner.

(CNN) - Just back from a foreign trip and a holiday vacation, the president returned to work Monday by talking about government efficiency.

A snooze, right? But not this time. What we found fascinating is this new crop of companies Obama mentioned that have taken advantage of all sorts of government data that's recently been put online. These companies have downloaded it (for free) and created new services in health care, credit card protections and medical care that make life easier for you and me.

IG letter to Geithner: Targeting not among top concerns

(CNN) - Treasury officials were made aware in June 2012 that the IRS inspector general was reviewing the office that handles tax-exempt applications, but a letter from October shows that the inspector general did not highlight the audit as a top concern for the agency.

In a memo dated October 15, 2012, to then-Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner about IRS challenges for 2013, Inspector General J. Russell George noted other problem areas, but made no mention of the investigation taking place at the time of the agency's intense scrutiny of conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status.
