RENO, Nevada (CNN) - Barack Obama spent Monday night in Reno, Nevada talking with officials in Washington and advisors on the failure of the economic bailout plan in Congress.

According to a senior campaign aide, the Illinois senator's remarks in Reno Tuesday will again center on the economic crisis – and how it could affect the average American.

Specifically, the aide told CNN Obama wants to highlight how the crisis extends past Wall Street and touches everyone – from those with 401K’s, to the small business owner trying to make payroll and families struggling with rising living costs.

After his remarks in Reno, Obama is slated to head to the Midwest for several days of campaigning in Wisconsin and Michigan.

(CNN) – Barack Obama's campaign confirms that the Illinois senator will hold an event in his home state Saturday, kicking off the "roll into the convention" - but would not confirm or deny reports that he might be joined on stage by a running mate.

The event will be held in the Old State Capitol in Springfield - where Obama first launched his presidential bid a year and a half ago.

Obama took a break from his week-long vacation to weigh in on the Georgian crisis.

HONOLULU, Hawaii (CNN) - How do you spend your time in a state famous for its sunny tropical skies? You spend your afternoon in a movie theater.

Sen. Barack Obama did just that Monday afternoon, taking in a matinee of the latest Batman sequel, 'The Dark Knight' - and giving him an opportunity to assess the acting ability of campaign supporter and Democratic Senate colleague Patrick Leahy of Vermont, who makes a cameo appearance in the blockbuster film.

Post-movie, Obama went for a 4-star meal for the second time this week: Monday night it was 'Mariposa' at the Honolulu Neiman Marcus. The restaurant's Web site promises exceptional Hawa'in cuisine served on an open air lanai, situated to catch the island's legendary sunsets.

Activities for the Hawai'ian-born presumptive Democratic nominee so far have included a jog along the beach, a round of golf, and a carbeque along the North Shore, which is known for its killer surfing. Obama has also made several visits to his grandmother, who has lived in Honolulu for 50 years and who he affectionately calls his 'Tùtù.'

(CNN) - As Barack Obama courted Jewish voters in Florida Thursday, John McCain looked to resurrect the controversy over the Illinois senator’s former minister, Rev. Jeremiah Wright - who drew scrutiny earlier this year for comments he made in praise of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.

The presumptive Republican nominee was responding to fallout over his decision to reject Pastor John Hagee’s endorsement, because of remarks that seemed to suggest Adolf Hitler had been carrying out God’s will because his actions drove many Jews to return to Israel.

“I have said I do not believe Senator Obama shares Reverend Wright's extreme views,” said McCain in his statement rejecting Hagee’s backing. “But let me also be clear, Reverend Hagee was not and is not my pastor or spiritual advisor, and I did not attend his church for twenty years. I have denounced statements he made immediately upon learning of them, as I do again today.”

Obama immediately fired back, telling reporters McCain was unfairly implying Wright’s controversial remarks were somehow attributable to him.

“If you're in national politics, everybody you can find one or two people who have said offensive things, or done offensive things,” said Obama. “You know, John McCain is having to deal with… Hagee. Who said stuff that is mind-boggling.

“I don't attribute those statements to John McCain. Nobody thinks that McCain believes that stuff. And for McCain to then suggest that every single statement that was made by somebody is somehow attributable to me, is just wrong…. It's just not accurate.”

Obama visited a Boca Raton synagogue Thursday in a bid to shore up his support among Jewish voters, a crucial Democratic voting bloc. He stressed his support for Israel after a week of controversy over whether or not he would agree to unconditional negotiations with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has called for the destruction of Israel.

Obama said again that he disagreed with former President Jimmy Carter’s decision to meet with Hamas and would only sit down with the group if they renounced terror and recognized Israel’s right to exist.

“I want to just repeat this because I know that there’s a lot of rumor mongering going around. People have been getting e-mails non-stop,” Obama told the crowd. “That’s why I reject the attempts by some of my opponents in this campaign to distort my position…. As president, I will do everything in my power to help Israel protect itself from these and other threats.”

The Republican National Committee, looking to attract new support from this traditionally Democratic constituency, released a memo after Obama's synagogue visit that said his positions signaled that he was “anything but a friend” of Israel, including remarks about Palestinian suffering and his willingness to consider dialogue with nations hostile to the United States and Israel.

(CNN) - Barack Obama may have claimed a pledged delegate majority – but his campaign said Tuesday night they're not ready to call the race over.

In an email sent to supporters shortly after he captured the pledged delegate lead Tuesday night, Obama said that his campaign had ”reached a major milestone on this journey” but “…We still have work to do to in the remaining states, where we will compete for every delegate available.”

Senior campaign advisers also noted the achievement, but echoed Obama’s cautious tone.

“This is a big deal - I think to get the majority of the pledged delegates is a real milestone in this race… I don't think anybody ever won the majority of pledged delegates [that has] not been the nominee of the party,” senior adviser David Axelrod told reporters. “But we are going to continue to fight for every delegate and finish the process.”

Edwards will endorse Obama, CNN has confirmed.

(CNN) - CNN has confirmed that former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards will endorse Barack Obama shortly at a Michigan campaign event.

The endorsement could help Obama reach out to white, blue-collar voters - a demographic group that Obama has failed to capture, most notably in the recent Pennsylvania and West Virginia primaries.

Edwards received 7 percent of the vote in Tuesday's West Virginia contest.

The former North Carolina senator had campaigned on the message that he was standing up for the little guy, the people who are not traditionally given a voice in Washington, and that he would do more to fight special interests.

After dropping out of the race on January 30, Edwards asked both Clinton and Obama to make poverty a central issue of the general election and a future Democratic administration, something both agreed to do.

Clinton campaigned in Montana Sunday.

MISSOULA, Montana (CNN) – Hillary Clinton on Sunday predicted “more twists and turns” in the primary battle with Barack Obama during a campaign event in Montana - one of the last two states to weigh in on the Democratic presidential race on June 3.

At a town hall meeting in Missoula, the senator from New York said the race is so close that “we don’t know how it is going to turn out.”

"This campaign has been exciting and incredibly energizing - for people all across the country - and I believe with all my heart that it is good for the Democratic Party to give the people of Montana a chance to vote in June, to have your vote counted and your voices heard," she also said.

While listing her credentials to be president, Clinton also said people vote for different reasons, including how a person looks or their hairstyle.

"And that is another difference, you know how long it takes me to get ready than my two opponents - I mean really just think about it," she joked. "I think I should get points for working as hard as I do plus the time it takes to get ready."

Clinton campaigned in Oregon.

HILLSBORO, Oregon (CNN) - Hillary Clinton repeated her intentions to stay in the presidential race at a campaign event in Oregon Saturday.

“One thing I hope you know about me is that I don’t quit,” Clinton said, adding she will continue to campaign “hard” in the final ten primaries.

Clinton also again pushed seating the delegates from Florida and Michigan - the two states penalized by the Democratic National Committee for moving their primaries ahead of February 5.

“Some say their votes should be ignored, and discounted…well I have a different view.”

Clinton added that ignoring the 2.3 million democrats who voted in those primaries would hurt in November: “We cannot afford to give up on Michigan and Florida.”

During her speech in Memphis later Friday, Hillary Clinton will announce the creation of a new cabinet position if she becomes president to deal with poverty.

The cabinet member will be called the "Poverty Czar."
