Paul Ryan to take a fundraising swing next week

(CNN) - Paul Ryan will spend a number of days in Republican stronghold states next week, not to win over more voters but instead to help the GOP fill its campaign coffers.

While the Republican vice-presidential nominee has spent a majority of his time campaigning in battleground states such as Ohio, Virginia and Florida, it is notable the campaign is sending Ryan on a fundraising push less than two weeks before Election Day.

Ryan zeroes in on energy jobs in Pennsylvania

Moon Township, Pennsylvania (CNN) - GOP vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan zeroed in on energy jobs and waved a Terrible Towel when he visited Steelers country on Saturday.

In an appeal for Pennsylvania's 20 electoral votes, Mitt Romney's running mate warned of another four years of President Barack Obama's energy policies and pointed to a major pocketbook issue to make his point.

Ryan tries to pit Clinton comment against Obama

Fort Myers, Florida (CNN) – Mitt Romney's running mate seized on a comment made by former President Bill Clinton Thursday, one of Barack Obama's chief surrogates, to make the case against another four more years.

"President Bill Clinton said it is true that our economy is not fixed. He is right. And you know what, if the president can't fix Washington from the inside, if the middle class has been buried for the last 4 years and if the economy is not fixed it is time we change presidents and elect Mitt Romney the next President of the United States," Paul Ryan said at an evening rally on Florida's Gulf Coast.

Ryan delivers economy message to women, seniors in Florida

Fort Myers, Florida (CNN) – Women’s issues permeated a campaign stop with Paul Ryan as the GOP vice presidential nominee warned of tax increases and changes to Medicare in central Florida Thursday.

At the town hall-style event that drew an audience of 2,100 to Ocala Downtown Square, approximately 30 people lined up on one side of the security perimeter, held up signs and shouted comments in support of Democratic President Barack Obama.

Paul Ryan's pre-game debate analysis

Fredericksburg, Virginia (CNN) – Paul Ryan pumped up a crowd in Fredericksburg hours before running mate Mitt Romney was set to take the stage for the second presidential debate with President Barack Obama.

"When we go home this evening, we will go and turn on our TV and we will watch we will see the choice. Put aside the hundreds of millions of dollars of distortion on TV, the clutter. You see the president can't run on his record," Ryan said Tuesday evening.

Ryan going for the luck of the 'Pack'

Waukesha, Wisconsin (CNN) – Rep. Paul Ryan is hoping the winning streak of his beloved Packers will rub off on his party and end a 28-year losing streak for Republican presidential nominees in his home state.

"And in Wisconsin we have shown that if leaders step up and lead we as voters have their backs. We haven't dedicated our electoral votes since 1984 to the Republican nominee. It is time we change that," Mitt Romney's running mate said. "We are on a winning streak here in Wisconsin. Let's keep that winning streak going."

In Ohio, Romney, Ryan cast Obama as soft on China

Youngstown, Ohio (CNN) - Republican running mates Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan sought to cast the current administration as soft on China on Saturday, blaming Democratic President Barack Obama for skipping another opportunity to label China a currency manipulator.

"Over the past several years, the president's failed to call China a currency manipulator," Romney said at a rally in Portsmouth, Ohio. "He had the occasion on Friday to come out with that official designation. Do you know what they said? We're not going to make any determination until after the election."

Romney, Ryan buoyed by debates

Lancaster, Ohio (CNN) – Buoyed by his widely-praised debate performance, Mitt Romney cheered Paul Ryan’s handling of his only showdown with Vice President Joe Biden at a large rally in Ohio Friday evening.

“Gosh, we got to watch this guy debate and there was one person on the stage with thoughtfulness, who was respectful, who was steady and poised. There is one person on that stage you’d want to be with if there were a crisis – it is this man right here,” Romney said at a rally with his running mate that drew an audience of nearly 8,000 to a town square.

Ryan talks debate prep over ice cream

St. Petersburg, Florida (CNN) – During an ice cream stop Wednesday, Paul Ryan acknowledged Joe Biden's debate experience might give him an edge during their upcoming face off but Mitt Romney's running mate said his challenger has one big weakness: Barack Obama's record.

"Joe Biden has been on this stage many times, this is my first time so sure it is a nervous situation because Joe Biden is one of the most experienced debaters we've had in modern politics. But the Achilles heel he has is President Obama's record and I am really looking forward to giving the American people a very clear choice," Ryan said.

Paul Ryan Iowa bus tour about 'choice'

Clinton, Iowa (CNN) – Paul Ryan will continue to hone in on the "choice phase" of the campaign when he makes several stops in Iowa while Mitt Romney, his Republican running mate, prepares for Wednesday night's debate against President Barack Obama.

On Tuesday, with family in tow, Ryan will hold a town hall in Clinton, the hometown of his wife Janna's mother. They will also visit Muscatine and Burlington, along the eastern edge of the battleground state. Despite suffering from a head cold, the Wisconsin lawmaker and vice presidential nominee held a spirited rally in Dubuque on Monday.
