Obama takes measured tone on clashes in Ferguson

(CNN) – President Obama on Thursday urged calm and peace in Ferguson, Missouri, where clashes between protestors and police continue to escalate in the wake of the shooting of Michael Brown.

The President condemned all parties involved in the recent unrest.

310,000 healthcare consumers could lose coverage come September if they don’t prove eligibility

(CNN) - Over 300,000 individuals who enrolled in a healthcare plan through the Affordable Care Act could lose their coverage come the end of September if they fail to provide the proper documentation demonstrating legal residency, according to the Obama administration.

The issue at hand is not necessarily an immigration status problem, but a data-matching issue.

White House touts achievements on raising minimum wage

(CNN) - With much of the focus in Washington centered on foreign policy issues, the White House is touting a domestic issue that’s been central component of the Democrats’ messaging in 2014 - raising the federal minimum wage.

The administration released Tuesday a report entitled: “A Year of Action: Progress Report on Raising the Minimum Wage.” The 11-page document highlights some of the steps taken by state and local leaders and those in the business community to boost the wage to $10.10 an hour, the rate called for by President Barack Obama in his 2013 State of the Union address.

Michele Bachmann's take on Elizabeth Warren: If I were Hillary, I'd be concerned

(CNN) – Should Hillary Clinton be concerned about a possible Elizabeth Warren candidacy in 2016?

Rep. Michele Bachmann believes so.

The Minnesota Republican, who ran for president in 2012, was responding to a question posed Tuesday by CNN’s Van Jones on “Crossfire” on whether Warren might be somebody who could pull away Republican votes in a presidential election.
