Perry blasts off on end of shuttle program

Washington (CNN) – The space shuttle Atlantis cooled off after its re-entry into Earth's atmosphere but Texas Governor Rick Perry is white-hot about the Obama administration's approach to space exploration.

In a press release following the shuttle's Thursday morning return to the Kennedy Space Center Perry launched on the end of the shuttle program.

Edwards' campaign asked to repay almost $2.3 million

Washington (CNN) - Former presidential candidate John Edwards will have to pay back over $2 million in federal matching funds given to his 2008 campaign for president, the Federal Election Commission ruled on Thursday.

The commission voted 6 – 0 against Edwards and contends his campaign was in "excess of the Candidate's entitlement."

Let the wagering begin

Washington (CNN) – A ham versus a duck? No these are not the mascots of the teams playing in Houston, Texas this weekend. It's what's on the line between two governors.

This is a big week for Virginia Commonwealth University, located in Richmond, Virginia as they prepare to play Butler University located in Indianapolis, Indiana, this Saturday for the right to play in the NCAA college national basketball championship game on Monday.
