(CNN) - If a picture says a thousand words, some may be reading this one as "Hillary Clinton 2016."
An attention-grabbing photo of Clinton - without the glasses she has worn since her recent concussion - boldly sits atop a new website, HillaryClintonOffice.com, which was registered on January 31 as she left her post as secretary of state last week.
(CNN) - A conservative group is planning a television and online ad campaign urging senators to vote against former Sen. Chuck Hagel at his confirmation hearings to be secretary of defense.
The American Future Fund plans to run television ads in Washington and in certain states against Obama's nominee, the group said, as well as print ads, web spots, and a website. They call it an "all the above" strategy that "will be nationwide, focused on the many disqualifying characteristics of the Hagel nomination – including not only his now well-known statements against Israel and his weak opposition to the Iranian nuclear threat, but also his to be disclosed personal, business and ethical conflicts."
(CNN) – Democratic governors on Tuesday selected new leadership for the Democratic Governors Association. Gov. Peter Shumlin of Vermont will succeed Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley as chairman of the organization, while O'Malley becomes the group's finance chairman, the DGA announced.
Those selections and others were expected by Democratic insiders. The DGA works to recruit and support Democratic candidates for governor and assists Democratic incumbents running for re-election.
