'O' novel debuts to slow sales

Washington (CNN) – The highly anticipated novel "O" debuted last month to surprisingly slow sales and sold only 2,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen Bookscan. This comes after months of speculation and publicity over who its anonymous author might be.

Time Magazine published a report January 27th that Arizona Sen. John McCain's former political adviser, Mark Salter, was the author. Salter has yet to confirm or deny these reports.

Moseley Braun urged to leave Chicago mayor’s race after 'strung out on crack' comment

Washington (CNN) -One of Chicago mayoral candidate Carol Moseley Braun's opponents is urging her to withdraw from the contest citing what she terms her "volatility" and "insensitivity."

This comes after the two women exchanged fiery words on Sunday – with the former senator accusing her opponent of previously being "strung out on crack." Moseley Braun later apologized for the remarks.
