(CNN) – Texas Gov. Rick Perry chastised Mitt Romney's health care plan Thursday, but said he believes the former governor of Massachusetts is beginning to see the light.

"I think Mitt is finally recognizing that the Massachusetts health care plan that he passed is a huge problem for him," he told conservative radio talk show host Laura Ingraham in an interview.

Huntsman decries debt debate 'lunacy'

(CNN) - Threats of a national default during the debt ceiling debate amounted to "lunacy." That is, according to former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman.

He accused those who spoke of risking a possible default to force the government's hand in facing its rising debt–including some of his Republican opponents–of behaving like lunatics during an interview on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight" scheduled to air Monday.

Democratic PAC ads target possible swing seats in House

(CNN) – Democratic group House Majority PAC set its sights on one freshman and one veteran congressman with new ads to be released Friday in their continued effort to return control of the House of Representatives to the Democrats.

Two Republican lawmakers, freshman Wisconsin Rep. Sean Duffy and nine-term California Rep. Dan Lungren, are the subjects of new cable spots set to air during the August recess. The 30-second commercials were produced to “hold vulnerable House Republicans accountable” for “misguided priorities” and “votes to sell out the middle class,” according to a statement released by the political action committee.

Christine O'Donnell: Witch ad was a mistake

(CNN) – Former Delaware Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell is not a witch and hated the commercial that stated that fact.

Promoting her new book, Troublemaker, on "Good Morning America" Tuesday, the tea party poster-candidate admitted that the infamous spot which attempted to distance her from past comments that she'd "dabbled into witchcraft" wasn't the best choice.

RNC mocks Obama's 'Debt-End Bus Tour'

(CNN) - The Republican National Committee offered up its take on President Obama's Midwest bus tour Monday with a three-pronged press offensive including a "Press Corps Briefing Book," a web ad, and radio spots that detail what they've termed "Obama's Debt-End Bus Tour."

The RNC describes the president's effort to engage in a public dialogue about job growth and the economy at town halls and economic forums as "a totally non-political taxpayer-funded administration event that just happens to criss-cross several battleground states critical to the president's re-election" in the Obama critique, which is disguised as a briefing book.
