The winner, by far, was Kucinich; he came off as the most professional while maintaining honesty. Gravel was second, as he came across as a man of integrity and took the democrats up to task.
I'm a conservative and don't want either in the White House, but those two impressed me above all others.
I think Bill Richardson won the debate. He was the only candidate who was specific on the actions he would take as President, and illustrated with examples from his tenure as Governor. It's a shame Blitzer didn't give him more time. Unfortunately the lion's share of the questions and time went to Clinton, Edwards and Obama, who were conveniently seated together so the cameras could get all three of the media-proclaimed "frontrunners" in one shot.
I think Kucinich won the debate because he is the only one who said he wouldn't murder innocent people to kill Osama Bin Laden. What if Bin Laden was in an elementary school in America filled with students. Would you bomb the school to get Bin Laden. We need to lead the world by example and stand up for our principles and murder of innocent civilians is wrong. The ends never justify the means.
I think it was a really great debate, and most of the candidates did well.
I think Obama did particularly well tonight, not just because he had the most talking time (which he did, according to the Dodd campaign’s chart). He did a great job of engaging the other candidates, responding to their criticisms of him and at several points he praised his fellow candidates, which looked very, very good. Seemed to have somewhat of a rapport with Edwards in that the two lobbed soft criticisms of each other, but never failed to note that they agreed more than they disagreed on the topics discussed, and praised each other’s plans on various things such as health care.
Other than that, Clinton did okay, Edwards did well as did Dodd, Richardson did all right, Kucinich was Kucinich, I think Gravel kind of faltered, and Biden... well Biden just seemed pretty angry throughout the whole debate.
CNN – you did a terrible job with that debate! The questions were weak, divisive, ignorant, unfair and unrealistic. If it weren't for the great people of New Hampshire I would have turned it off. And you CLEARLY favored the top three candidates – Obama, Edwards and Clinton – giving them more then enough time to talk about everything under the sun and actually cutting OFF other candidates like Bill Richardson who were trying to make important, clear statements. Wolf Blitzer is the worst moderator I have ever seen – next time please let Anderson Cooper take the reigns!!!
Kucinich had nothing to lose. He won the debate. Mike Gravell was also okay, but Kucinich, with his answer about Bin Laden had the most honest answers. No one gives him any credit. He's ignored by the pundits, but I think Kucinich has my vote.
I think the America People won the debate. Every Democrat on that stage had a better idea of what the future of America looked like than any Republican candidate. They certainly have a better direction for the United States than the current administration.
Hillary Clinton
Barak Obama
Biden
Obama.

Dennis Kucinich and Mr. Gravel. Hands down.
Obama won.

RICHARDSON ATTACKED PROBLEMS IN THE ROOT.
I think Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden were the leaders in this night. John Edwards lost points with me.
Hillary Clinton

Sen. Clinton 🙂 "You don't have to be straight to shoot straight!!" 😀
there was no debate to win. It was a wild eyed liberal knee jerk photo op.
Richardson clearly had the most substantive ideas and least rhetoric. Too bad Wolf cut him off more often.
Biden had some good points. Loved the gentleman from Alaska.
I disagree completely with all re the immigrant question.
how come there is footage of every candidate except obama?
Hilary Clinton
Sen. Clinton
Barack Obama.
OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
