Obama won – his answers were concise.

Edwards, Clinton, Richardson, Obama & in that order. BTW, who were the two guys on the ends?

Edwards for sure. Most informed, most direct. Can see him being president.

I have to give Edwards the debate, because he was on the offensive. However, not saying there is a global war on terror is irresponsible, I thought Hillary held her own, Obama looked uncertain in the first half of the debate, I like him and his message but if he get's the nomination the GOP will eat him up like they did John Kerry. Finally can we get rid of Mike Gravel, he is a senile crazy man, and was accusing all the other candidates on earmarks like a conspiracy, he's nuts.

Barack Obama came through strong. He didn't play politics. He was real and authentic and that's what made him stand out in my eyes.

John Edwards came on strong but faded in the second half. Obama and Clinton maintained. Biden moved up, Richardson down.

I think Hilary Clinton won the debate tonight. She took charge at certain points while the others looked on and she looked presidential. I was disappointed in Senator Obama. I think all the fluff has worn off and we see even though he is smart he seems to be weak on policy.

Obama clearly won the debate. I keep waiting for Edwards to break out, but no dice.

Hilary won for sure! She spoke in an articulate educated manner and showed she was in control and au fait with all issues. It was amazing to see this woman debate along side several men with such confidence and vigor! Bravo!
However, Obama seems to be playing too much on trying to 'look' like a good 'would-be President', as opposed to actually being a good candidate! He seems a little simplistic and overshadowed by Hilary's years of experience.

I think Hillary Clinton won the debate. She was forceful, intelligent and said if elected president she would end the war in her first move. It took guts to be up there among all that testosterone. Go get 'em Hillary!

For me, Edwards and Richardson stood out because of how they covered the questions.

I also have to commend Biden, Clinton, and Obama. Everyone did well, but Edwards gained the most points with me.

This is the best field any party has ever assembled. There were five winners tonight, any of whom would make a fine president, alphabetically: Biden, Clinton, Dodd, Edwards, Obama.
