Cheney to become president...briefly

Vice President Dick Cheney.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - President Bush will undergo a routine colonoscopy Saturday, and will transfer power to Vice President Dick Cheney during the procedure, expected to take about two and a half hours, the chief White House spokesman said.

Tony Snow said Friday that the procedure, during which a doctor looks for any signs of cancer, will be carried out at Camp David, Maryland, and the president will be placed under anesthesia.

Bush's last colonoscopy was in June 2002, and no abnormalities were found, Snow said.

Two and a half hours is more than enough time to start another war.

The colonoscopy will be easy to do. Just have him open his mouth and shine a light in it.

I was ging to ask if there were any laws about not being able to declare war against another country unless you are President for more than an hour-but then I remembered who we're talking about; Cheney doesn't think laws apply to him.

Cheney as President? Even if it is only for two and a half hours, it will be plenty of time for Dick to conjure up some of his lawyers and have plenty of pardons typed up for all of his minion friends. I wonder how long it will take him to conjure up a pardon for Hitler in hell so they can talk strategy about Iraq.

With Cheney as president for a few hours, which executive privileges will he abuse? My guess is all of them.

I can't believe how far CNN's standards have fallen! I can't believe CNN allows childish comments like this to be posted on their website.
