Giuliani: Fred Thompson safe in NYC

Rudy Giuliani boasted about New York City during Wednesday's debate.

(CNN) - Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, during the GOP debate on Wednesday night, said that "the FBI would disagree" with Fred Thompson for saying he didn't feel safe in New York City.

"People have the right to their own feelings," said Giuliani. "[But] the reality is, he was safer in New York than just about any other city in the United States after I was mayor for about three or four years."

Giuliani said New York City was the "safest large city" in the United States under his watch.

and Mayor Giuliani reduced gun crime by 75 per cent in New York City. He also positioned New York so that 189 other cities– all smaller of course than NY– were less safe than New York.

Uh, didn't NYC get attacked under his watch?

Rudy is blowing his own horn again!
    Nothing new.

I guess if all Americans thought as highly of Rudy as Rudy does the rest of the Candidates could go home!

    Toot Toot here comes Rudy!

Getting bit monotonous don't ya think?

Giuliani is hardly worth a comment. You should ask the the 9/11 first responders how they feel about him.

Giuliani and McCain clearly won tonight's debate and as a result I believe McCain might have a small opening to get back into the race.

Romney and Thompson were the big losers tonight.

At least Thompson can say he wasn't even there.

Romney was horrible. He is pathological like Hillary but he has nowhere near her skill for spin.

Thompson is finished as Republican voters won't give the time of day to a lazy fool who would rather spend his time hanging out with Leno than compete with his fellow candidates for Republican votes.

Go from Mayor to Leader of the free world. How can we even consider this guy. He did his job like he was expected to do on 9/11. How can we consider him based on that?

Giuliani's comments about Thompson playing his role on TV isn't correct. Giuliani was U.S. attorney, a federal position. Thompson played Arthur Branch the District Attorney for the City of New York. Apparently Giuliani hasn't watch the show ever.

Hey Rudy, it was sunny today.........

When I was Mayor of NY we had the sunniest days ever.............

What else you got Rudy... absolutely nothing.

That's what I took away from this debate, he is a one trick pony.

Huckabee has some good thoughts and some GREAT moments, but he has to lay off the the god BS, I believe in god, but it doesn't get interjected into every thought and sentence.

Romney scored on the illegal immigration issue, but overall gave a flat performance and can we know let go of the stupid ass answer he gave in regards to his sons service or lack thereof? In turn he should lay off of haircut jokes.

He blew it, said sorry, period.

The big winner was McCain, who may get some traction if he is indeed moderating his illegal immigration position after hearing it from the folks. Clearly he was the winner IMHO.
