Clinton has no answers for undocumented immigrants

DES MOINES, Iowa (CNN) - At a press briefing after Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's health care rollout Monday, senior policy advisers said the New York senator's plan does not currently include any details on whether illegal immigrants will be covered.

Senior policy adviser Laurie Rubiner–while acknowledging that undocumented immigrants are a "huge issue" in this country–said, "That's one we're going to have to think through a little bit."

"We have not dealt with every single detail with this plan," Rubiner continued.

When asked if it would be safe to assume that the Democratic frontrunner, at this point, has no position on coverage for illegal immigrants advisers answered "yes" and said the plan does not "at this point" deal with that issue.

Hillary cannot answer questions without instructions from her puppeteers. I wish people would not be so cruel to the silly air-head bimbo. Posted By Grits, Huntsville AL : September 17, 2007 9:34 pm

A bimbo??? Gee, I'm surprised that you didn't add the word "blonde" to the equation. That way you could further up the ante and win the award for the most misogynist response of the day.

Simple answer – NO. They're ILLEGAL what part of that do people not get?
They dont pay taxes and dont get to use our tax supported infrastructure. Send them home to get care from their loving home government.

If a politician says something will cost $1, count on the real cost being $4. With that said, Hillary Care will cost at least $440 billion. I hope there isn't life on other planets, because if there is, and the word gets out that we provide health care benefits for illegals, we'll be getting an influx of illegal space aliens.

Make Mexico the 51st state! Erase their wierdo laws about who can buy land- annex them, let us build down there, and set up corporations, and their economy would thrive. We can also improve their lives by a good dose of ACTUAL LAW ENFORCEMENT- and arrest and imprison all the corrupt politicos and police down there, and really stop the drugs flowing into the USA. If they balk at the idea, then make them pay american citizens- not the government- ten thousand dollars for each of the 60 million illegals here (yes, all of them going back ten years not just this year's batch).

If Hillary includes illegals in her health plan...then she'll have to have a plan to figure out if they are "illegals"...and that means registration with an I.D. card...and you can bet that plan won't fly among Democrats.

    Hillary a very intelligent person??????
Let's see what she knows. Didn't know of her illegal contributions received from a criminal. Didn't know where the law firm records were. Didn't know about her cheating husband. I guess thats enough to clear her intelligence up for now.

Regarding Hillary's Health Plan...if it includes "illegals"
then a registration plan with an ID card will be needed. And you can bet Democrats won't go along with such a registration of all illegals.

Good old Hilliary says we are going to get the same health coverage as those in Congress. We all will be forced to pay for health care. Now where will the average citizen be when we are all standing in line or waiting several years for treatments under her gov't forced health plan... will the Congress or the illegals be able to move to the front of the line. The line we will be standing in for a long time if this mess is even considered. She only has a blueprint for her plan and after it is passed then our liberal congress friends can fill it in anyway they want. Can't wait

Why is it that people think we have to pay for health care of illegals? There are a lot of people who are tex paying US citizens who need healthcare, we should not even consider illegals – Illegals means they are not here legally! They should either become tax paying legal citizens or go home!

The solution to wheather or not to cover so called "illegals" would be to allow them to stay and become citizens like the rest of us who's ancestors who were not indigenous. They (undocumented)are currently forced to live in the shadows of oppression. Yes undocumented immigrants may use the emergency rooms but usualy this is done as a last resort when they are extremely ill, necessitating more acute care and higher costs. Preventative medicine through government mandates will help keep cost down. Higher taxes on the rich and luxery items, in addition to more effeciant care, would help to keep cost down

Our country isn't ready for a woman president yet - particularly a flower child socialist - which is one reason I'm not worried about Hillary and her plans to tax the American people to death...and beyond.

A woman can't be elected yet in America, plain and simple. We'll have a black male president before a female of any race. So, we're probably looking at an Obama/Hillary ticket, allowing her to take the backseat into the White House again.

Asking the American people to cover health care for illegal aliens is insane. This will only triple and quadruple the number of illegal aliens in the USA. If these CRIMINALS want health care, then Mexico should be forced to pay us $110 billion per year to cover the costs. These are MEXICAN CITIZENS committing CRIMES against another nation, they are NOT AMERICAN CITIZENS.

Calling ILLEGAL immegrants by the purposefully-deceptive phrase "undocumented immigrants," is sort of like calling a dope dealer an "unlicensed pharmacist."

Interesting that with this plan that you will have to show proof of health insurance to get a job. The gov't has done such a good job enforcing proof of citizenship for jobs.

Essentially every politician in America, at the local level, the state level, and the national level, promises to work to create new jobs in his or her jurisdiction. This seems to be regarded as the highest service a politician can render to constituents.

Although almost every politician can be likened to celebrity Kristy Alley of Cheers and her lasting battle with the heavy weights indorsing Jenny Craig as solutions too effecting issues. As America can see from her present state has not prevailed.

Our law makers are following by example and are not helping any issues with legal American health care denied to the working middle class of citizens that has been long ago promised by these same and continuing law makers have accomplished nothing with tax paid programs.

Now the US citizens can count on our Senators across the board are willing and gracefully rewarding uneducated lower skilled cheep labor illegal immigrants by allowing these amnesty bills to pass in the Senate for contributing nothing by illegal aliens.

Any legislation that pardons lawbreakers and rewards them with the object of their crimes is an amnesty. In other words, it doesn't matter if illegal aliens are given automatic citizenship or a temporary work card, whether they have to pay a fine or back taxes, whether they have to learn English or "touch back" across the border to change their status. If the end result is they get to stay here in the United States and work, it is an amnesty. Rather than holding enforcement hostage to amnesty, will Senators work to simply and enforce the laws already on their books of laws?

A recent Heritage Foundation study concluded that each illegal alien household headed by an illegal alien without a high school degree (most illegal aliens); costs U.S. taxpayers $18,000 a year. You can't possibly believe that the United States needs this illegal labor, can you?

Twenty-three million lower-skilled legal Americans cannot currently find a employment. There is no need to keep illegal workers in this country. The Democratic party; if is elected to our next Presidential Administration may allow this country to head for complete down word trend of liberal extraordinary spending programs and tax the stock investors (the rich); to the point of running our economy out of the markets!

The senators noted below supported amnesty in June and show every sign of voting for amnesty again this week. They have been blasted all summer for their anti-American worker, pro-lawlessness stance.

Hillary's Health plan is dead in the water. If it ever passed Congress (highly unlikely), it will be challenged as unconstitutional. There is no Constitutional basis for the federal government to force health insurance on the population. There is no opting out of Hillary's plan, and the first constitutional challenge will overturn it. To add the federal income tax required an amendment to the Constitution. Hillary's plan would require the same–and I doubt it would garner the required 75% of the state legislatures, much less 67% of the Congress.

Considering that everything the government touches turns to lead I would not want the goverment taking on any more services. Let them fix the ones they are already screwing up before they take on any new ones.

If they are here illegally, they should not be covered anyway. they should not be eligible for any government sponsored services. they are not citizens, and are not even guaranteed rights under the Constitution.

A Republican candidate (who used to be an M.D. and has worked in the health care trenches) has proposed getting government out of the health care business entirely. Allowing the free market to encourage competition for your health care dollars.
As the competition heats up, prices will drop and you might be able to afford to pay your own way.
He also wants to secure the borders and remove the incentives for illegal immigrants.

"I don't mind this brand of socialism" Jeff from Arlington this is an unbelievable statement. Does this mean that you don't mind it as long as you don't have to pay for it and only the "rich" has to subsidize it? I by no means am rich; however, if I were to attain that level it would be by hard work and I don't see why people should be required to turn over their wealth to others forcibly. Everyone is always in favor of spending other peoples money.
