Richardson called the SEIU by the wrong name Monday.
WASHINGTON (CNN) - Note to presidential candidates: When seeking a union's endorsement it helps to get its name right.
New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson ended an address to the Service Employee International Union (SEIU) Political Action Conference in Washington Monday by saying "Thank You AFSCME.”
AFSCME is the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees.
But it's easy to see why Richardson may have been confused. Both unions are roughly the same size (between 1.3 and 1.4 million) and are very important for Democrats who are seeking their party’s presidential nomination.

SEIU has 1.9 million members... get your facts straight CNN
Hmmm..Bush misspeaks during a Pre-Presidential election and he's dumb and doesn't know the answer...Richardson misspeaks and it's labeled misspeaking...How much does the media control elections?
I couldn't help but to laugh out loud when I read this. Brief laughter, but nonetheless. Thank you CNN.
unions are for losers who cant make their own way in the world..all 1.9 million average and ordinary overpaid ones of them!
and this is important because????
CNN is once again leading the industry in reporting totally meaningless information
What about mentioning that Obama rocked the SEIU house and Hillary only recieved polite appaulase. Truly this is the Clinton National Network. How much has CNN and its employees and stock holders contributed to HRC campaign?
Unfortunately, the MSM has decided that verbal gaffes are going to be the narrative for Bill Richardson.
To bad that the media, for some reason, doesn't seem to want to report on the high level of substance and experience Richardson has brought to this campaign.
Richardson's campaign is so worthless at this point it doesn't matter what he botches – nothing could make it sink any lower!
A party run by the union....sympathetic to unions is NOT what this country needs....we lag behind in everything the unions are involved in....ask Detroit....now cars are "made in America" – yeah....North America...i.e. Canada and Mexico – Dems need to drop the unions....and concentrate on our place in the global economy
