The Donald: Time for Bush to go into 'hiding'

Watch Trump sound off on politics with CNN's Wolf Blitzer.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Donald Trump has some advice for President Bush if he wants a Republican to win the White House: Hide.

The business mogul and vocal critic of the Bush administration told CNN's Wolf Blitzer Monday that he thinks the president is a "huge liability" for any Republican seeking the White House. Trump went on to say the best thing Bush can do for his party is to go into "hiding."

"I think President Bush has to go into a corner and hide if a Republican is going to get elected," he said. "There is no way he is an asset. He is a huge liability, and he is going to have to do a big, big hiding act if a Republican is going to win."

Once a Republican nominee is determined, Trump added, Bush "should just go into a corner and say 'Okay, that's it. I am finished. It's over.'"

Trump also reiterated his comments to CNN in March that Bush is "probably" the worst president in American history, saying, "We've gone from this tremendous power that was respected all over the world to somewhat of a laughing stock."

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Donald Trump has ALWAYS been an idiot and still is. Open that mouth wider, Donald, so you can stick both of your feet in.

I can not stand Donald Trump but I must say that I am in total agreement with him on this subject. I feel that Donald reacted inappropriately and childishly to Rosie O. I do feel in his comments regarding President Bush that he is hitting the nail on the head. Bush is the worst President in history and has made a laughing stock of the United States. I never thought I would find myself agreeing with Donald Trump but I am behind him on this.

now that's funny. donald trump calling someone a liability. he's the biggest joke on the planet. let's hear some more of his wife telling us how much they have sex every day because that is so classy and professional. he's the biggest non-talent on the globe. nice hair-do Donald. and those great management techniques on your show only express what a bullying, classless act you really are. i'm a poor man and wouldn't change places with you no matter what.

Donald – you should stick to business. A leader of a country cannot hide. It is incumbent of the President to lead – no matter how difficult. The Republicans lost in '06 because they feared losing and abandoned their conservative values.

You need a history lesson, fast. Americans have been helping and supporting other countries from the get-go. Many who have no oil at all. Do you remember the Gulf War? Did we take any oil? NO. And, even if what you said is true, do you drive a car? Buy goods in the mall? Eat produce that is imported across country? Just how do you think that happens? OIL. If we could drill in ANWAR [which is another story] we might be able to do with less foreign oil. Having said that? Which country do you want control of oil? Saudi Arabia? Iraq? Syria? or the U.S.? If not the U.S., then you need to take your poor history and go live there. At least there, you get a free camel ride with your male guardians.

If Mr.Donald Trump is so smart, he should run for President! Let's not forget, his plan for new 'Twin towers' at ground zero in NYC, landed him flat on his face! Sometimes, he should just put his money, where his mouth is. If he runs for President, it would be interesting, to say the least.

I agree, Donald. Bush is a huge liability to his own party and should step aside now before it is too late. He is by far the worst president I have seen in my lifetime.

What do you mean, Trump, " go into hiding "? He's been in hiding since 9-11!!! After the stunt he pulled in the " bait and switch " ploy, from Afghanistan to ( what was formerly known as...)Iraq, he has been in hiding. The only time he shows up in public are venues that have been cherry-picked, so as to minimize the public disdain that would be showered on him and his, even more incompetent, running mate, Chainy. Let the two Incompetents ride off into sunset after their term has ended, never to be heard from again!!!
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME, ALIVE. NOW.

Here's how Trump operates: he pulls together money from investors under an umbrella corp with his famous name. He does the work and the investors split the profits with him. He immediately sells his share of Trump Cribs and looks for his next project. See, he's not actually mega-rich, he just manages huge amounts of money.

Probably right about Bush, but one of Bush's strangest attributes is that he never sees himself as having been 'wrong' or having any reason to be ashamed. He certainly doesn't think he's done a bad thing by dividing America into Hatfields and McCoys just when we needed to unite in the face of an enemy, and he's going to go on loudly proclaiming that he's bold and resolute and never asks for directions when he's driving. Hide? He'll go on tour!

As our local talk radio host said this morning, maybe Bush should appear on Trump's "The Apprentice." Given your ratings lately, Don, that should keep him out of sight.

I am sure that Donald means the best; however, I am unsure what his intent is! Is Donald in the beginning of establishing a political party? Or is he just interested in buying the real estate that the White House sits on.

Its funny that Trump stated at one time that he couldn't understand why the media was making the economy look so bad since its the best it has been in years. President Bush didn't make us look bad to other countries, it was your Democrat liberal politicians and entertainers that trashed our country in front of the cameras every chance they got. Your treasurous Democrats are to blame.
