The Donald: Time for Bush to go into 'hiding'

Watch Trump sound off on politics with CNN's Wolf Blitzer.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Donald Trump has some advice for President Bush if he wants a Republican to win the White House: Hide.

The business mogul and vocal critic of the Bush administration told CNN's Wolf Blitzer Monday that he thinks the president is a "huge liability" for any Republican seeking the White House. Trump went on to say the best thing Bush can do for his party is to go into "hiding."

"I think President Bush has to go into a corner and hide if a Republican is going to get elected," he said. "There is no way he is an asset. He is a huge liability, and he is going to have to do a big, big hiding act if a Republican is going to win."

Once a Republican nominee is determined, Trump added, Bush "should just go into a corner and say 'Okay, that's it. I am finished. It's over.'"

Trump also reiterated his comments to CNN in March that Bush is "probably" the worst president in American history, saying, "We've gone from this tremendous power that was respected all over the world to somewhat of a laughing stock."

Donald has been sniffing to much hair spray, once again he has no idea what is going on.

Thank goodness Bush is in office and not Donald. Let him go bankrupt another company instead of allowing terrorists control the world.

Don's worried about what the rest of the world thinks of the U.S. Just look at the U.N. and see that the rest of the world doesn't matter. The media in this country has damned Bush for doings what is right. All Americans will pay for that soon enough.

Trump is a buffoon, of course.

Whether Mr. Bush hides or not, a Republican will win the Presidency in 2008. Since Hillary Clinton will be the nominee, ANY one of the Republicans currently running...EVEN RON PAUL, will beat her.

Of course, the idea that a President any President) has caused other countries to somehow turn against us is ridiculous.

America bashing has nothing to do with Bush.

"America-bashing, writes John Parker in the Asia Times, "has ascended from its former status as the preoccupation of a relative handful of Jurassic Marxists, professional victims, Third World whiners, and Islamo-fascist troglodytes to the level of a major new global religion."

How can he say that Bush is the worst President when we have not been attached since 9/11. Look what shape America was in at the end of Jimmy Carter's term in office. Other countries can laugh at us but we are still the greatest country on earth and one day will probably defend those who laugh at us. We also do!!!

    >>>>>>>I cannot understand why Bush is not charged with treason.
He expoxed the identity of secret agents.
Would someone please explain to my why.

Dear Max, Contrary to what you have heard somewhere, there was no crime committed. Valerie Plame was not a "secret agent" when her name was associated with that title. Sorry to burst your bubble there, but millions of dollars were spent to investigate that and no one was charged at all...because it never happened the way that you think it did.

A laughing stock? The United States is a laughing stock? This from a guy who went from doing huge real estate deals to silly TV shows?

Why is anybody listening to Donald Trump?

As for David in Boston, and the rest of his elitist buddies, why don't you guys come up with some new policy ideas. Your policies have only been right once, on Civil Rights.

Lucky you all have such high I.Q.'s. Comes in handy for explaining away the failures. Sounds good, works bad. There must be a joke in there somewhere.

I do not often agree with "the Donald",but his remarks about Bush are right on. In fact, this administration, especially the pres. and VP, actually succeeded in making Caligula's reign in Rome nearly 2000 years ago look good.

First of all Donald seems to have forgottent hat we are better off today money wise than we were 8 yrs ago. He seems to forget that we have not been attacked since 911 and more than likely will not be as long as we keep the fight over there. Bush did not start this, he merely finished what all of us knew needed to be done but did not have the guts to do it. I know all of you are going to say he is a Bush lover and all that but That is not true. I do believe that Bush has made mistakes and I am sure that he knows it as well. But then again I dont think anyone here would want to have to deal with what he delt with 6 months into office with 911. I went to Iraq and served and untill you have maybe you should try this for once. What kind of message do you think we would send to any would be outsider that we are dealing with that we are all united and right or wrong we are going to stand behind the elected leader of the largest free world till the job is done or they decide we are not longer someone they want to mess with. That is what makes them so sucessfull. They stand behind there Dictator because they want to seem bigger than they are and they want to get into the minds of the people they consider to be weaker than they are. Oh and if you dont think that is true. Ask one of them, they will tell you that you are weak and they would kill you if given the chance.
Take that Donald and enjoy the freedom that the American fighting men and women give you so that you can sit back and look like you are something. Why dont you spend a day over there chating with your friends in the street of Iraq or Afganistan. I didnt think so.

Who the hell is Donald Trump to denigrade our great President George Bush.
He is nothing but, a egotistical crap shooter, I do not like Rosie O Donnell, but she sure had his number. He does not like the President, because the President and his administration do not take ole Donald seriously, his moral background is questionable, we out here can't stand him appearing on your shows, and you do everything but kiss his butt.
He is nothing but lefty speiling their tripe.
He has a nerve, with his background he could never be President, thank Goc

Roy Remington, come on up and get your deeedeeedeee sign. You republicans always say that you have to defeat them because they are smart and they will follow us here if we don't get them there! HELLO? ANYBODY AWAKE IN THERE? If they are so smart, wouldn't they be here when our MILITARY IS AWAY! No according to you brainiacs, they are going to wait until our SOLDIERS are back and then attack us. If this is REALLY what you believe, then GOD help us!!!! Please everybody, vote democrat not because I'm a democrat but the republicans truley don't have our best interest in mind and if they really believe what they say, then we really can't afford another retard in the whitehouse.

To hide is to say the last 8 years was a sham......a shell game. Surely, the republican party, or a business man with out a heart, who cant even maintain a relationship with Rosie doesnt want to give that message. Trump needs to understand that the people that voted him into to office might not like the results but believe in what is being done.

I am extremely impressed that someone like Donald Trump would take time off making money to actually share inciteful comments like these. I'm not being sarcastic; moguls usually have better things to do than expound to mere mortals who earn in the poverty tax brackets. Good for him!

Dianne Underwood, Melrose, FL come on up and get your sign!!! Calling Donald an idiot is like calling Bush smart, it's just not true. One can't become one of the wealthiest people in the world by being an idiot. I take it that you didn't make the list of anyone with wealth so its easier to attack someone who has attainted it. The bottom line, Bush is an idiot. Get over it.
