Coulter: We want 'Jews to be perfected'
Conservative commentator Ann Coulter.
WASHINGTON (CNN) - Conservative commentator and best-selling author Ann Coulter may find herself in the midst of a controversy for comments Monday suggesting America would be better if everyone was Christian.
Asked by CNBC host Donny Deutsch what the U.S. looks like in her dreams, Coulter said it would look like the Republican National Convention in 2004
"People were happy,” she said, according to a transcript provided to CNN by CNBC. “They're Christian. They're tolerant. They defend America." (Video: Watch Coulter's comments on CNBC)
When Deutsch responded, "It would be better if we were all Christian?" Coulter said "Yeah."
Deutsch, himself Jewish, continued to press Coulter on her remarks, asking, "We should just throw Judaism away and we should all be Christians then?"
"Yeah," Coulter responded, adding "Well, it's a lot easier. It's kind of a fast track."
"You can't possibly believe that," Deutsch responded. “You can’t possibly. You’re too educated.”
"Do you know what Christianity is?" Coulter replied. "See, we believe your religion, but you have to obey. We have the fast track program."
Later in the interview Deutsch asked Coulter if she doesn't want any Jews in the world, Coulter responded, "No, we think - we just want Jews to be perfected, as they say."
"Wow, you didn't really say that, did you," Deutsch said.

"Yeah, no,” Coulter replied. “That’s what Christianity is. We believe the Old Testament, but ours is more like Federal Express. You have to obey laws. We know we're all sinners."
Deutsch said he was personally offended.
"No. I'm sorry. It is not intended to be," she said. "I don't think you should take it that way, but that is what Christians consider themselves: perfected Jews. We believe the Old Testament. As you know from the Old Testament, God was constantly getting fed up with humans for not being able to live up to all the laws. What Christians believe - this is just a statement of what the New Testament is - is that that's why Christ came and died for our sins. Christians believe the Old Testament. You don't believe our testament."
Deutsch continued to call Coulter's comments anti-semetic.
"No, no, - I don't want you being offended by this," she responded. "This is what Christians consider themselves, because our testament is the continuation of your testament. You know that. So we think Jews go to heaven. I mean, [the late Rev. Jerry] Falwell himself said that, but you have to follow laws. Ours is "Christ died for our sins." We consider ourselves perfected Christians. For me to say that for you to become a Christian is to become a perfected Christian is not offensive at all."

This is exactly what the world wants to hear. An american berating Jews. Ahmadinejad nust be laughing us to scorn at this point. The American right to freedom of speech is only being disrespected by the likes of such unintelligent people such as this idiotic woman. I Can't even bear to mention her name.
Ms. Coulter's comments propagate the very intolerance that our society attempts to prevent. Her attempt at explaining how her religious views are shared by others is a gross mischaracterization of the truth. Her comments serve no greater good and manage to polarize rather than unify. I applaud Mr. Deutsch for standing up for what he believes in. More of us have a responsibility to do as Mr. Deutsch had done and stand up.

There is no way she's a Christian.... or maybe she's one of those "convenient" Christians. She's doesn't practice her faith or attend church or even live her life to respect, love, or to be tolerant of others but she'll tell every one she's a Christian.

Friends, there's only one reality that every one is avoiding. The 4 major World religions are currently participating in war (Christians, Catholics, Jewish and Muslims) and as far as I know each one condemn killing a human been. What puzzles me is that today’s Christianity practices are totally opposed to what Jesus taught in the Bible… Jesus was poor and taught others not to be materialistic, but today’s preachers are filthy rich. He said we need to love our enemies and one of the commandments clearly indicated that we should not kill and people belonging to the religions mentioned before are killing… Millions are spent in war while our elders are still working after retirement to pay for their medications. All efforts should go to make the World better and help the poor instead of debating which religion is better. Until now, none of them has proven to be the solution to human kind problems.

The television stations must take responsibility for what Ann Coulter says. The conservative movement must disassociate itself from this womans' antisematic statements.
I don't really understand what she's talking about. Whatever she was saying, she bungled it. Also, could someone explain to me the very popular "Freedom of Religion does not mean Freedom from Religion?" Because that's exactly what it means to me. If I believe in one thing doesn't that mean I'm free from believing in another thing? In addition, I don't understand the contrasting accounts of whether our forefathers wanted a secular society or not. It seems quite obvious they wanted separation of church and state.
I do believe her comments to be anti-semetic. Her comments are againt a certain race of people, particularly their religion. But being labeled anti-semetic is not a horrid thing like the word itself portrays, she is entitled to her opinions. And diverse accepting America should accept them and label her as an intolerant person and not trying be made out to be some genocidal maniac.
I'm no Anne Coulter Fan, but she's just saying what all the "sky god" religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) believe: that everyone one ought to be part of their club.

Ann Coulter is a very stupid and dangerous person who incites hatred between fellow humans. I see her as no better than other religious extremist's who's views and actions cause harm to those only wanting to live there lives in peace and harmony. If she is doing this for 'publicity' then she has absolutely no morals and consequently has no religious values.
So does "need to be perfected" mean we will be rounded up and put into concentration camps again so we can "become perfected Jews?" It is no wonder I own firearms.

I love how the republican/christianists love to paint the founding fathers as these very devote Christians. Some were but most of them were not. They were believers to a point but that was it. Jefferson redid the Bible taking out most of the miraculous events built around Jesus. They believed we should believe what we want; be free to have our own views. Yes, this country was founded by Christians some of them very devote and some not. So we have freedom of relgion as well as freedom from it. Most of the christianists in this country are not a whole lost different then the islamists in Afganistan or Saudi Arabia. They want us to believe exactly as they do.
Ann Coulter: Evidently, she has been out of news for awhile and it was time for her to kick up some verbal dust again. This woman is addicted to negative attention. Supposedly, she is intelligent but when she opens her mouth all that spills out is ignorant BS. I find it hard to see her reading the Bible and being devote when she says some of the most hateful things. Perhaps, if she was not blond with long hair, with long legs in mini skirts, no one would give her the time of day.
Her pretending to be a Christian is an insult to all the real and true Christians of this country, who genuinely follow the teaching of Christ regarding tolerance, compassion, and kindness.

Centralized media such as CNN, Google, Yahoo is brain washing the world. First and foremost we need our federal government to start enforcing and updating Anti-Competitive laws such as: Robinson-Patman Act 1936.
Why does this material get posted? How many times do you hear in conversations did you read about blah blah blah on CNN or online.
