Coulter: We want 'Jews to be perfected'
Conservative commentator Ann Coulter.
WASHINGTON (CNN) - Conservative commentator and best-selling author Ann Coulter may find herself in the midst of a controversy for comments Monday suggesting America would be better if everyone was Christian.
Asked by CNBC host Donny Deutsch what the U.S. looks like in her dreams, Coulter said it would look like the Republican National Convention in 2004
"People were happy,” she said, according to a transcript provided to CNN by CNBC. “They're Christian. They're tolerant. They defend America." (Video: Watch Coulter's comments on CNBC)
When Deutsch responded, "It would be better if we were all Christian?" Coulter said "Yeah."
Deutsch, himself Jewish, continued to press Coulter on her remarks, asking, "We should just throw Judaism away and we should all be Christians then?"
"Yeah," Coulter responded, adding "Well, it's a lot easier. It's kind of a fast track."
"You can't possibly believe that," Deutsch responded. “You can’t possibly. You’re too educated.”
"Do you know what Christianity is?" Coulter replied. "See, we believe your religion, but you have to obey. We have the fast track program."
Later in the interview Deutsch asked Coulter if she doesn't want any Jews in the world, Coulter responded, "No, we think - we just want Jews to be perfected, as they say."
"Wow, you didn't really say that, did you," Deutsch said.

"Yeah, no,” Coulter replied. “That’s what Christianity is. We believe the Old Testament, but ours is more like Federal Express. You have to obey laws. We know we're all sinners."
Deutsch said he was personally offended.
"No. I'm sorry. It is not intended to be," she said. "I don't think you should take it that way, but that is what Christians consider themselves: perfected Jews. We believe the Old Testament. As you know from the Old Testament, God was constantly getting fed up with humans for not being able to live up to all the laws. What Christians believe - this is just a statement of what the New Testament is - is that that's why Christ came and died for our sins. Christians believe the Old Testament. You don't believe our testament."
Deutsch continued to call Coulter's comments anti-semetic.
"No, no, - I don't want you being offended by this," she responded. "This is what Christians consider themselves, because our testament is the continuation of your testament. You know that. So we think Jews go to heaven. I mean, [the late Rev. Jerry] Falwell himself said that, but you have to follow laws. Ours is "Christ died for our sins." We consider ourselves perfected Christians. For me to say that for you to become a Christian is to become a perfected Christian is not offensive at all."

She can say whatever she like as far as I'm concerned. The only reason she makes statements like this is because she appeals to the knuckle dragging 28%ers who are Bush's BASE. Her hateful and bigoted statements resonate with them and this is why she will always have book deals and be welcomed at Fox News.

I agree with Ann Coulter. And the reason she made her comment is because she “is” educated. Our country has been blessed because we are a Christian country and founded on Judeo-Christian ethics and laws. Read your history. Then get yourself a Bible. Don't just read it, study it. Unless we remain a Christian country we are a doomed nation. The one thing humankind has not learned from history is that we do not learn from history. A country that turns away from its Judeo-Christian beliefs will fall. In addition, it’s time people began to realize that being Christian does not mean your are some country bumpkin that’s to ignorant to even know how to breathe. Donny D. insulted every Christian in America. If I were as ignorant as he, “I’d say Donny you are far too educated and sophisticated to be a Jew.”
Note the bigotry and hate for Christians. Christ was killed for expressing His message. Ann's comments were correct from a theological standpoint. True, historical Christianity maintains that no one enters heaven except through acceptance of Jesus Christ. Christians want everyone, including Jews, to be saved from iternal separation from God. Ann didn't make it up, it is central to Christian theology. Like it or not.
Why is this woman still in the news? She is SO irrelevant.

FOR THE RECORD – I think all you Christians are wrong. Got it wrong. Elevated a prophet to G-d status and whipped up some nonesense about a virgin birth and the rest of the story.
Good thing for you that the G-d of the Jews is probably not in to sending everyone who is not a Jew to hell. That seems to be what Christians believe.

Has Ms Coulter's 15 minutes expired ? I guess to make the realy tacky sound bites sound harmless we need "The Coulter's" around . She has pushed the bounds of decency for much of her visiblity on the media stage and she has now fallen off the stage and into the sewer . Her comments are disgusting. In the year 2007 for anyone to be so narrow minded. She needs a course in the religions of the world.
She is not even worth being interviewed.
She needs to meet with Rabbi's and go to the Museum of Tolerance and be educated about the Jewish Religion.

I prefer to think that Coulter is a brilliant satirist, not unlie Stephen Colbert. She pretends to be this raving, conservative demagogue but in reality, she's actually making a mockery of everything the neo-cons believe in.
I have to think that because if she really is sincere in her beliefs, that's truly horrifying.
The bases of the Christian faith is the belief that Jesus Christ died on the cross for YOUR sins. If you reject Jesus Christ and what he has done for you, then you will not be acknowledged by Him in Heaven. It’s not about your good deeds and being nice according to worldviews. It’s about real repentance and placing your faith in Jesus. Yes, there are rules, there’re called the Ten Commandments, but somehow people have dismissed them. If you don’t believe them, then fine. But get off the Christian bashing kick! We have the same freedom of speech like anyone else. No other belief gets ridiculed like the Christian belief. Jesus said 2000 years ago that we would be ridiculed in His name. He was right, and always will be.

The "perfect American" would probably have blonde hair, blue eyes, would burn books, etc. Hitler would be turning over in his grave to know that a perfect Aryan like AC would side with an administration that subsidizes a Jewish state. I think it's a little much to say the comments are anti-semetic. And for one commenter, it's not arrogant to say what the bible tells us. The bible cleary states what's going to happen in the end days. Jews are God's chosen people who rejected him. The bible tells us in those last days only a handful of Jews will be saved. The problem is..what is a handful to God?...Why do people who don't read the bible in the spirit always try to translate it? ALL people, ALL people from ALL religions can go to heaven if they accept the Lord as their Savior. Remeber God didn't separate church, man did. Christians aren't perfected. We still sin, but by the blood of Jesus we are saved. True Christians know that Jesus was humble and forgiving, he loved everyone and that is how we are suppose to be to our neighbors...neighbors not just Americans by the way. Yes this world would be better if everybody was a TRUE christian and did not judge or be smug about others not believing in Christ. We are suppose to bring anyone we can to Christ. Jesus didn't bring people to him by acting "holier than thou". So I guess it's better to say if everybody acted like Jesus, the world would be better. It seems everybody forgets there is more then just America in this world. We make up less than 5% of the population. I pray that she wasn't serious and that she prays for the Holy Spirit to lead her to the truth. I pray for all mankind to love Jesus becaue I don't want anybody to perish just because they can't see God.
For those upset with Ann Coulter's remarks, please see John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave is one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall have eternal life" This was a radical and revolutionary teaching at the time and still is. Ann is merely saying in her own way, what Jesus and God are saying. And no amount of umbrage or outrage will change the truth of Christ, which will be revealed to all in the end times.

You are perilously close to destroying your republic and your freedoms and a democratic society in exchange for a state controlled, socialist society that will arrest you for the freedoms and the speech you can exercise now.
Free speech will become hate speech if you don't tow the line of your elected dictators and God-like leaders. You will have to whisper your likes and dislikes in the darkness, and be left standing in bread lines.
Meanwhile your God-like dictators get more wealthy and more powerful, because they know how to divide and conquer and get you to help them.
How's that for outrageous comments? That's what liberals do? And it's what liberals can expect for your future if you get your way and elect dictators.
