Obama and Gore in 2008?

Granite Stater asks Obama to join up with Gore

DOVER, New Hampshire (CNN) – Although it is usually not until after the primaries that nominees announce their running mates, one Granite stater hoped Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, might reveal his preference sooner.

A prospective voter asked Obama if he would consider former Vice President Al Gore as a running mate and even offered his own campaign slogan: “Obama and Gore experience and youth, Obama and Gore wisdom and truth.”

“He’s really thought this through,” Obama said with a smile. “He’s like my campaign manager here.”

Obama noted he had the “utmost respect” for the former vice president but that, after “having won the Nobel Peace Prize and an Oscar, being vice president again would probably be a step down for him.”

“It might not be something he’s willing to do,” said Obama.

Obama and Gore would be an instant Winning ticket. Gore would add to the ticket by bringing environmental, older and some uneasy non-minorities. Gore did a lot in the 90's. He was key in the Telecommunications Act leading to economic growth, He was THE deciding vote for the Balanced Budget amendment that brought us record surpluses, he was very instrumental with the Internet growth etc. The Media just bad talked him as they still do. But one does not get all those accolades, awards and honors from THE PEOPLE and not matter. Although I do have my list of possible VP’s, Gore is an excellent choice. They are both intelligent, honest thinking people.. Who have the good of the Country and the World’s interest at heart.

Obama should appoint Gore to his cabinet as minister of environmental affairs. It would be awesome to see the two of them working together. Obama, by far, has been most vocal on environmental issues, he even went to Detroit to talk to car makers about raising gas mileage.

I would not vote for Gore if Obama was running against him, but I sure as shootin' would support and Obama/Gore ticket or Gore having a signifigant spot in an Obama administration.

    Obama/Gore 08!!!

god forbid. Gore will immediately push for global warming taxes so that the highly-efficient, well-organized federal government can improve our environment. (sarcasm, for those named karen +/or laurinda) meanwhile obama hussein will tax our checks just because that's what he does best

...his own campaign slogan: “Obama and Gore experience and youth, Obama and Gore wisdom and truth.”

So, we shold elect obama as president just because he is young and tells the truth, but without experience and wisdom? Then, we could elect a young blind man as president

That will never happen. They do not belong together at all. That is ridiculous.

Obama's supporters realized that Obama couldn't lead our Country by his wisdom, so he needs a big help, Al Gore. It is just Obama's gesture for voter's attention for primary,it won't happen.
