I think a combination of the two:

Hillary Wiffle-ball! Wiffleballs are airy and light, nothing but a hard outer shell full of holes, much like Hillary Clintons "policy" proposals.

Democrats better get on the right side of this illegal immigration debate or they will hand the election to the Republicans. Enforce the laws- Americans are sick of picking up the tab.

I don't give a dawm on what our Government decides to do; regarding what and how to exclude non-citizens of this country from any American process. I want to know what our Government will do for the American middle class. It's just like the GOP to shift from a subject of greater priority to a subject of lesser priority for folks who aren't even from this country. It's the economy stupid!

I couldn't agree more! As a metter of fact; it's the WAR and the economy stupid! Let's (GOP) worry about what illegal alien drives and keep fighting a war for huge oil coporate profits at the expense of the middle class in America.

It's hard to get an answer from someone who, when they rarely do's always WRONG. My God...who pays for the polls...I don't know anyone who would vote for her. I've asked everyone I know. Really!

Ms. Clinton IS a bump. The Dems will slowly ride over this speed bump and nominate Obama. Not as many warts. Not nearly as susceptible to 'swift boating'.

Anybody else get the feeling that despite media attempts to illustrate the contrary, the Democrats are on the Titanic, and are just moving the chairs around?

Why stop at driver licenses? Isn't it a good idea to just give us that citizenship too?? Simplifies things..., it's just government document after all. Go Hillary!

You are kidding me! You don't care about illegals in this country. Where are the middle class tax dollars going? There is a large amount going to illegals. That money could be going to the middle class. Illegals bring down wages because the work under the table and for less money. The effects go on and on. This is not a GOP problem, it is a citizen problem!

Why do you think that Bill does not want the First Lady records released until 2012? Something to hide, as usual? If they are good, why would she not be pushing to get them released? She seems to be running, at least in part, on her record as First Lady.

Has the light finally come on? Please wake up America. She is so wonderful, just ask all her supporters and now let us really see who the hell she really is. Mrs B!!!!

I guess I'm not sure about Americas laws!! I have lived here 62 years and thought that if a law was broken the law breaker is punished, not rewarded!! Eligals are in the country eligally and they are breaking the law. PERIOD... Giving them drivers licences is the same thing as saying we recoginize they have broken the law and we approve. they should not be given anything then they will go home and try to make their own country prosper and throw out the corrupt politicians that rule it. How can we justify our laws if we are not going to enforce them all. I'm disabled and short of money! guess I'll go rob a store, its alright though, I need to be able to eat so its ok to break the law!! If they can do why can't I??

I agree with Flagship in Hartford: licensing is a safety issue and a financial issue, not a rights issue. When an illegal immigrant runs into someone, I want them to have insurance, because the pay they get here, while better than in Mexico, isn't enough to cover vehicle damage and medical bills.

The 75% of America who advocates keeping people uninsured are short-sighted. Keeping people uninsured helps nobody.

It's not like giving an illegal immigrant a license protects them from deportation.

The whole debate was an attack on hillary clinton. the supposed moderators opened up the debate with a question to give obama a platform for attack (he was too decent to play to their ratings) but they did their best to get "gotcha" answers. There was no substance to the debate in the questions.. Hillary Clinton walked into the lions den so the networks can start creating a hot race..nothing worse for them than a BIG lead in the polls... Tim Russert should be ashamed of his performance. Where's Jim Leher.

AS I read the comments, I see nothing new. The Hillary lovers vs the thinking people. Hillary has embraced lobbyist money, licenses for illegal residents, and can't fast talk her way out of politically sensitive issues. If folks can't see that she will trample the interests of American working people they are blind. Labor union endorsements notwithstanding. How those endorsements came to be is anyone's guess. It can't be due to her position on NAFTA and the plethora of other anti American worker concepts.
I believe that the driver's license debacle is likely a move towards enhancing the profitability of the system. It's difficult to squeeze money out of a driver who doesn't possess a license. Plus the influx of insurance money will give a big boost to the coffers of insurance companies.
Mark my words, this and most politically controversial topics have nothing to do with the prosperity of the average american.

I hope her "bump" finishes her candidacy. Any politician who supports amnesty for illegal immigrants can run for office - in Mexico!

Supporting amnesty for illegal immigrants is a slap in the face to all of those immigrants who are going through the red tape and expense to do it right. Here is the INS website for processing times:

Just think, if your case was at the California Service Center and you were petitioning for an alien relative to enter the US legally, you would only have wait behind applications that were received at the INS in April 2001.

However, if you are an illegal who sneaks across the border, Clinton and her ilk will give you your amnesty right away.

This is what passes for the wisdom and fairness of our policians, folks. And it makes me want to puke!

Slogan on T-shirt: "I spent $7,000 and 3 years of my life trying to enter the US legally, and all I got was this rotten USCIS Received receipt from the US Post Office!"

You have no need to fear illegal drivers if you have the proper car insurance. Their called UNINSURED MOTORISTS.

Of course, it will cost you a little more. But your already paying more for them anyway..

She never said she was for it. She said she understands it. It's to keep other drivers safe. If the illegals are going to be here we should have them documented so we know who is here and who isn't. It's a safty thing. You people are so hateful.
