Student given question to ask Clinton: I wasn't only one

Watch Student Muriel Gallo-Chasanoff's interview with CNN.

GRINNELL, Iowa (CNN) - The college student who says she was told what question to ask at one of Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign events told CNN Monday that she wasn't the only one at the event who was a plant and said "voters have the right to know what really happened."

In an exclusive interview with CNN, Muriel Gallo-Chasanoff, a 19-year-old sophomore at Grinnell College in Iowa - whose story in her campus newspaper has now been widely circulated - said that giving anyone specific questions to ask is "dishonest," and the whole incident has given her a negative outlook on politics.

Gallo-Chasanoff, an undecided voter, said what happened was really pretty simple: she says a senior Clinton staffer asked if she'd like to ask the senator a question after an energy speech she gave in Newton, Iowa, on November 6. (Watch Gallo-Chasanoff ask Clinton the question)

"I sort of thought about it, and I said 'Yeah, can I ask how her energy plan compares to the other candidates' energy plans?'" Gallo-Chasanoff said.

"'I don't think that's a good idea," the staffer said, according to Gallo-Chasanoff, "because I don't know how familiar she is with their plans."

He then opened a binder to a page that, according to Gallo-Chasanoff, had about eight questions on it.

"The top one was planned specifically for a college student," she added. " It said 'college student' in brackets and then the question."

The girl went along knowing she was going to expose Hillary? Does that lessen the impact of the attack on honesty and integrity of the campaingners? I suggest not!

Bill thinks the men are being too hard on Hillary. Looks like even he thinks she's too soft to be president.

At this point, I am very sketical about any acussation against Mrs. Clinton's campaign given that Right Wing Repucan operatives would stop at nothing to damage her politically, and stop her bid to run for the presidency, and consequently win in 2008.
My meassge for the Republicans is simply this: HILLARY CINTON IS OUR CANDIDATE AND GOD WILLING, SHE WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNTED STATES.

Yep. She's the candidate with the most experience alright. She's got the most experience lying.

She's looking more and more presidential every day.

I know no one likes to lose even as a supporter however would you rather support a very dishonest person or back someone who will bring strength, integrity and honesty back to our great Nation? This isn't about winning a game; this is about selecting the RIGHT candidate to do the job well without 100 advisors providing bad information and tricky tactics.

To all you competitors out there, this isn't about winning some glorified award, this is about our Freedom!

I too had to ask a prearranged question. "Ms clinton, What color is your turd"? to which she responded, white with grey hair.

i agree but honestly it will probably rudy vs hillary. what would be great is if all the candidates could run at the same time for president.but instead we need a simple plan because most americans wont bother researching all the candidates we need 2 to keep it simple......i mean alot of this country doesnt even believe in evolution

Typical Republican hypocrites....Has Bush EVER taken an unscripted question? His handlers don't even allow anybody but dittoheads anywhere near him. Go Hill!

Why is anyone surprised by this? Hillary will do anything to be elected. Every trcik in the book is justified in the pursuit of power. Unless Americans can see this and pick someone else.

    Left, Right, or Centter. Anyone.

An honest politician? Try Dr. Tom Coburn, OK. You may not agree with him (I do) but he is 100% honest. A guy who is against the bridge to nowhere in Alaska has to be honest.

As a parent, the "everybody does it" does not fly. If you want to plant questions, fine. Just dont pretend they are not. Planting questions then passing them off as original or spontaneous is dishonest. All you Bush haters claim lying is just the worst thing. But when Bill or Hill do it, its ok because its only about this, or only about that. Dont you get it? A lie taints EVERYTHING a person says and does, including truth. America can do better, and hopefully will.

To believe that Hillary was unaware of the plant requires a willing suspension of disbelief.

I hope that one of the other Democratic candidates has the balls to make this statement, and throw it right back at her as payback for her attack on General Petraeus. If not, I'm sure Guiliani or Romney will say it – or maybe some questioner at her next openmike forum in Iowa, an ordinary citizen, in front of all the cameras, and then watch Her Thighness react to that.

I have long suspected there was something definitely fishy about the way she laughs.

Now I know it's just the ol' accent/question trickster.

This should come as no surprise. Hillary is not bright–she's crafty. She cannot handle being asked an unscripted question. Look how she avoids one-on-one TV interviews. Because the minute someone throws in a curve ball, she either folds altogether or says something her handlers have to spin later. Then she whines about being picked on. How lame–there are many women in both parties more capable than she. If she can't handle the heat, she needs to get out of the political kitchen.

I will be honest. I think Hillary “the Harpy” Clinton and “The Evil Bill” can do more damage to this country then Jimmy “peanut brain” Carter and he is the worst president we have had in 100 years. They, Hillary “the Harpy” Clinton and “The Evil Bill”, should both be in prison for some of the things they have done.

That said, I don’t think she had a hand in coming up with this. This sounds like something the staff would have thought up. She may have been told to expect someone to ask this type of question and so she would have readied an answer, but not the question itself. If it had been me, I would have asked “Why does your staff have to go around and plant questions for you?”.

To believe that Hillary was unaware of the plant requires, to quote Hillary herself, a willing suspension of disbelief.

Hillary is a fraud. Now is the time to expose her for what she is, not when she is in the 'Oval Office'.

Wolf Blitzer would be doing the country a disservice if he didn't bring this up during Thursday's debate. JMO
