DES MOINES, Iowa (CNN) – HDNet's Black and Brown forum, a debate where the Democratic party presidential candidates were allowed to ask each other questions, was plagued by technical difficulties during the first half hour of the broadcast.
There was no audio during some answers, and at one point Senator Barack Obama had to hand his microphone to rival Rep. Dennis Kucinich, who quipped, "Barack, I want to thank you for passing the baton in this race."
After a few more gaffes, the network took an 8 or 9 minute break, and offered an apology after working out the problems.

Technical difficulties aside, this is sure is a more pleasent and informative format than the CNN and MSNBC debates.
This is not an isolated case where a news outlet just happens to have technical difficulty with coverage of a Democratic political race. I have seen on local news channels two broadcast where the graphics covering the Dems were not put on the screen while the news was read about their races. Instead the graphics showing the Republicans remained on screen through out the entire segment.
I really enjoyed the candidates Q and a forum. It was very successful.I watched the whole thing.
God bless them!
Asked what he meant by Obama passing the baton, Kucinich responded, "I'm not going to say anything else about it.
Events like these also tell voters what the candidates are like: flexible, sense of humor and Joe Biden making a big effort to be there: Mitt cancelled his activities for the day.
how come yer waitin' on yer impeachment of the war criminals? GET TO IT BONEHEAD. i want action not promises.
"plagued by technical difficulties"
Ironically, just like the democrat's legislative support for black people over the past 40 years. If you want real equality for all, you'll vote Republican. Studies show you'll live a longer, happier life..

Instead of inferring something "Alice", why not show some guts and say what you beleve.
Do you feel that he is afraid of snow even though he grew up in Michigan and was Governor of Massachusetts, two places that get a bit of snow?
Hillary cancelled her stuff as well do to horrible weather, so what's your point?
Oh yeah, you never make a lucid point.
Why did the Republicans all decline their invitations to this forum?
