Elder Bush nixes Clinton trip idea

Bill Clinton said Monday he and former President Bush would go on a diplomatic mission if Hillary Clinton became president.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Former President George H.W. Bush has shot down his successor Bill Clinton’s idea of a diplomatic mission under a Hillary Clinton presidency that would send him and other notables abroad to assure other nations that “America is open for business and cooperation again.”

The move came one day after Bill Clinton made the suggestion on the campaign trail in South Carolina, in response to a question from a supporter about his wife’s “number-one priority” upon reaching the White House.

In a statement sent to CNN Tuesday afternoon, former President Bush’s chief of staff Jean Becker said that he “wholeheartedly supports the President of the United States, including his foreign policy. He has never discussed an ‘around-the-world-mission’ with either former President Bill Clinton or Sen. Clinton, nor does he think such a mission is warranted since he is proud of the role America continues to play around the world as the beacon of hope for freedom and democracy.

“President Bush is excited about several of the excellent Republican candidates running for president, and looks forward to discussing their candidacy once the Republican nominee is determined.”

OK, so Bill initiates the idea of extending the hand of bipartisanship and repairing our image on the planet and out come the Slick Willie jokes. There is no hope for this country. People all over the world must be rolling around laughing at us.

Bill just can't help himself. Hey Bill, next time you want George H.W. to do something with you, you might want to ask him first. Keep up the good work Bill. It's pretty bad when Hillary has to go around telling people what a nice person she is. What a joke. If you have to tell people your a nice person, YOU ARE NOT!

Bill Clinton is the greatest US President of my lifetime and Bushie is the worst. He is a warmonger and a war criminal. History will prove this in due time.

Interesting, thre first CNN article used words like "said", "intends", in describing this so called trip.

The second article now says "made the suggestion" about this trip.

The next article will probably use the words " woke up from a drunken stupor" in referencing this trip.

Keep talking Slick Willy, all her opponents, Dem and GOP just love it.

WHEN we you Clintonistas wake up? This so-called run for the presidency by Hillary is really a workaround to a 3rd and 4th term for Bill. He just can't stand being out of the spotlight for any length of time.

I understand Bush 41's refusal to do so, because it is embarassing to explain how bad his son has done to america in the international area.

Bush 43's international legacy is a shame.

"Well, the first thing she intends to do, because you can do this without passing a bill, the first thing she intends to do is to send me and former President Bush and a number of other people around the world to tell them that America is open for business and cooperation again," Clinton said in response to a question from a supporter about what his wife's "number one priority" would be as president.

A spokesman for the George H. W. Bush said Tuesday afternoon the former president supports his son's foreign policy and has "never discussed an ‘around-the-world-mission’ with either former President Bill Clinton or Sen. Clinton."
what is so hard to figure out about this one? bill made it sound like it was a done deal, and bush basically said that it was never discussed.

I have HAD IT with the lying clintons! They heap it on, lie after lie after lie. And no wonder, we let them get away with it. Why shouldn't they lie if it gets them everything they want. It's no longer shame on them, it's SHAME ON US! Why are we so blind to the truth about these two immoral people. Do we crave financial gain as much as they do, after all, it's all about the money and who gets rich following them around. SNAP OUT OF IT AMERICA! Fame & fortune will come to the reporter who finally, finally stops licking the boots of the clintons!

The enemy within mrs. clinton's campaign is no other than her husband. His ego won't let her be president so he is subconsiously saboutaging her campaign, or maybe by design. There's NO WAY he's not doing these stupid things on purpose. He knows she may share him with other women but she's not sharing the presidency. He knows that and this is why he's doing this to her campaign.

George Senior could do the country a far greater service were he and his wife, Barbara, to go to DC and take their son back to the Houston Hospital for the Criminally Insane in a strait jacket.

It's good to know that if Mrs. Clinton is elected President and she isn't up to the job Bill will be standing by to take over.
Of course that would mean all attempts to take out terrorists will be determined by focus groups to see how they poll.

Bush Sr. was not a supporter of the surge. He dispatched his operative James Baker to head the Iraq Study Group, which surrendered to all the Democrat members' demands, so as not to issue a fractured report. In advocating the Petreus plan, W broke with his father. His legacy of astounding success in turning around the Iraq War toward inevitable victory is a legacy his father has chosen to support and reinforce.

Hey, everyone cool it with the criticisms of Bill Clinton. If we fool him by keeping quiet, he'll think he's doing the RIGHT thing for his wife and continue "helping" his wife. Ultimately, it'll result in the RIGHT thing for the country ... a resounding NO vote for Hillary by the people when the time comes. SO, two rights won't make a LEFT. 🙂
