O'Reilly gets in confrontation with Obama staffer

O'Reilly got into a confrontation with an Obama staffer Saturday.

(CNN) - Fox News talk show host Bill O'Reilly had a confrontation with a staffer for Barack Obama’s campaign that the aide and several eyewitnesses claim became physical.

The incident began when O’Reilly tried to get Obama’s attention after a Nashua campaign event. He allegedly began yelling at Obama’s National Trip Director Marvin Nicholson to get out of the way. O’Reilly then, according to eyewitness accounts, shoved the staffer.

Nicholson told CNN O'Reilly grabbed him by the arm and started "pushing" him. Nicholson also said that when he asked O'Reilly to stop pushing him, the talk-show host responded that he was "low class."

O’Reilly soon got Obama’s attention, and the two men spoke briefly.

"They shook hands and Mr. O'Reilly said that he thought Sen. Obama was great and that he loved him, and he'd love to have him on the show," Nicholson said. "And then the senator said that he would think about coming on the show after the primaries."

Then the Secret Service intervened to ask O’Reilly to step back behind the barricade that marked the press area.

Speaking later on Fox News, O'Reilly said he tried to "gently remove" the Obama staffer so his camera could get a shot of the Illinois senator.

"We're sorry we had to have that little confrontation," O'Reilly added, "but no one on this earth is going to block a shot on The O'Reilly Factor. It is not going to happen."

O'Reilly: "...no one on this earth is going to block a shot on The O'Reilly Factor. It is not going to happen."

So once again Bill has chosen to have a physical confrontation with someone else. And he thinks the other people are "low class." Wow.

As sad as that is, I am more afraid of his viewers that see him as a voice of reason and intellect. What well reasoned adult "has to have" a confrontation? Talk about someone that clearly is a member of the entitlement society since he feels entitled to push people around so his show can have its photograph.

They'd need dental records to identify Bill O'Reilly if he ever put his hands on me to push me out of the way.

I think Billo's finally going off the deep end. It is almost as if he can sense the Republican party fade into oblivion. But Billo and his ilk have only themselves to blame. By maligning and smearing anybody who didn't subscribe to their views they have instead created a vacuum to which they are the only participants. Therefore, making them irrelevant.

Just another example of what a dirtbag Bill O'Reilly really is. "but no one on this earth is going to block a shot on The O'Reilly Factor. It is not going to happen." Way to be a self-aggrandizing thug.

What arrogance from O'Reilly and FOX – the safety of the candidate and his staff is of paramount importance. Manners should never leave the forefront of journalism and sadly, some journalists feel an obligatory sense of entitlement because of their position.

Obama shows once again why he has the class and character to be President, even letting low lifes like O'Reilly have the opportunity to occupy the same air as he, let alone giving him the time of day, I just hope Obama didn't touch his hands, or he'll be scrubbing for days.

I would be surprised if Bill O'Reilly knew the definition of class. He usually talks and acts like the school yard bully.

Just another example of what a loser that guy is. The press shouldn't even give him any coverage. He is a pock mark to journalism.

    Who's O'Rielly ? Never heard of 'em.

The nations greatest state motto is "Live Free of Die !"

These are not crazy people's words... they are about Passion for Freedom.

-LIVE FREE or DIE ! –

Maybe I'm wrong... but I don't believe that the folks who first struck those words had in mind promoting a person based on who they're related too. I believe that they had quite the opposite in mind.

America is a Democracy – Not a Monarchy.

Barack Obama for President of the UNITED States of America.

THIS MAN, NAMED BILL O'REILLY, IS INDEED A VENOMOUS PERSON. EXCEPT FOX NEWS OF COURSE. I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY PERSON WHO LIKES THIS SELF APPOINTED MEDIA MR. NOBODY. HE CALLS HIMSELF ONE OF THE TOP FIVE TALK SHOW MEDIA ICON....... IN HIS DREAMS, MAY BE.
HE IS A PATHOLOGICAL LIER AND HAS AN EGOISTIC DESTRUCTIVE PERSONALITY.
I BELIEVE HE SHOULD BE BARRED FROM ALL PUBLIC GATHERINGS NO MATTER WHAT. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME HE IS CAUSING TROUBLE. EVEN HE ACTS NASTY ON FOX TV NEWS DURING HIS TALK SHOWS.
WITH HIS SUPERFICIAL KNOWLEDGE NOBODY SHOULD GIVE THIS MAN ANY ATTENTION. LET FOX NEWS WORRY ABOUT HIM.
GO MARVIN GO. YOU HAVE ALL OUR SUPPORT.

Pushing a staffer around? Considering that Obama has already frozen out Fox Propaganda's partisan crew, he might consider filing assault charges. Getting a camera shot from an unauthorized location is not a legal defense for pushing authorized staffers around. It sounds like no one was hurt, but that doesn't excuse O'Reilly's reckless behavior.
