O'Reilly gets in confrontation with Obama staffer

O'Reilly got into a confrontation with an Obama staffer Saturday.

O'Reilly got into a confrontation with an Obama staffer Saturday.

(CNN) - Fox News talk show host Bill O'Reilly had a confrontation with a staffer for Barack Obama’s campaign that the aide and several eyewitnesses claim became physical.

The incident began when O’Reilly tried to get Obama’s attention after a Nashua campaign event. He allegedly began yelling at Obama’s National Trip Director Marvin Nicholson to get out of the way. O’Reilly then, according to eyewitness accounts, shoved the staffer.

Nicholson told CNN O'Reilly grabbed him by the arm and started "pushing" him. Nicholson also said that when he asked O'Reilly to stop pushing him, the talk-show host responded that he was "low class."

O’Reilly soon got Obama’s attention, and the two men spoke briefly.

"They shook hands and Mr. O'Reilly said that he thought Sen. Obama was great and that he loved him, and he'd love to have him on the show," Nicholson said. "And then the senator said that he would think about coming on the show after the primaries."

Then the Secret Service intervened to ask O’Reilly to step back behind the barricade that marked the press area.

Speaking later on Fox News, O'Reilly said he tried to "gently remove" the Obama staffer so his camera could get a shot of the Illinois senator.

"We're sorry we had to have that little confrontation," O'Reilly added, "but no one on this earth is going to block a shot on The O'Reilly Factor. It is not going to happen."

Bill O'Reilly is a loud mouthed THUG. O'Reilly should go to jail for physical assault and that staffer should sue the pants off him!

Funny day isn't it. Obama gets 4,000 to a Nashua high school, Hillary's late at UNH and only 20 students are on hand, one firefighter's hurt after a fire at a motel housing Clinton volunteers. As bad things seem to happen in threes, perhaps Bill ought to get her a flak jacket and helmet before tonight's debate. Oh, and a group of AFSCME leaders sends a scorcher of a letter to the their president condemning the sponsoring negative ads about Obama. Did I miss a full moon or something?

Seriously, is there such a thing as bad karma?

I love how O'Reilly thinks he can just go whever he pleases. This would have been better if the secret service dropped him.

O'Reilly is the Rosie O'Donnell of news: a mouthy blowhard who makes up "facts" on the spot and who, amazingly, has a following among the lower IQ set. He also has a temper problem, having blown a gasket in public more than once – a sign of an immature personality. I wish I had no scruples and no knowledge; I could get rich as a Fox newscaster.

As expected CNN is making a mountain of the molehill. I do not believe O'Reilley can disturb Obama Campaign. In fact it helps Obama. GOOOOOObama.

This O'Reilly... I think he's a bully. And like most bullies, he's likely a coward beneath the bluster. He's gotta get real or he'll never be taken seriously.

I think Bill O'Reilly is experiencing some kind of mental disorder, especially with regard to paranoia. However, now that he has gotten physical by shoving an Obama staffer, he should be taken off the air and made to see a psychiatrist before returning to his show. He may be freaking out because his show ratings are in the toilet but that's no excuse for becoming physical. He's got an obvious problem and should see a psychiatrist. He's crazy to shove a Presidential candidate's staffer. He's lucky the Secret Service didn't shot him! Get some help Bill, NOW.

Typical of CNN to play up the negatives from the competition that has taken over their once prized role.

Whatever happened to the proud journalism that CNN once stood for?

O'Reilly truly believes he is some holier than thou person. Someone needs to wake him up and show him reality. What is really funny is that he spins his own confrontation to be less than what it was...what a complete jerk.

O'Reilly is a thug. Now proven for all to see. Shows no remorse. PLUS he's trying to butter up a candidate that is diametrically opposed to everything he advocates. THAT proves he's a hypocrite.

This balloonhead actually thinks he's a journalist. Who cares if he didn't get his camera shot – he's only going to use it to bash Obama anyway.

The Secret Service should have thrown him off the property.

Good for Bill, the staffer was probably getting in rthe way on purpose because O'reilly is on Fox, Why else would CNN be reporting it.

Bill O thinks he is king of the world and all should allow him to have his way. He proves this time after time with the way he treats people.

Bill O'Reilly is the most worthless talk show host on the air. His "no-spin zone" is nothing but. The guy is a pig. He sexually harassed a staffer. He is obnoxious. He is loud. He won't allow others to voice their opinions – he talks over them.

It's a good thing he is on "Faux" News. I don't watch it, have it locked out on my TV, and I generally don't even have to think about Bill O'Reilly.

No doubt the FOX sheep will think this somehow makes him brave. It does not. He is the worst kind of coward – the one that is so afraid of other people's views and ideas that he shouts them down. He is a classic schoolyard bully.
