O'Reilly gets in confrontation with Obama staffer

O'Reilly got into a confrontation with an Obama staffer Saturday.

O'Reilly got into a confrontation with an Obama staffer Saturday.

(CNN) - Fox News talk show host Bill O'Reilly had a confrontation with a staffer for Barack Obama’s campaign that the aide and several eyewitnesses claim became physical.

The incident began when O’Reilly tried to get Obama’s attention after a Nashua campaign event. He allegedly began yelling at Obama’s National Trip Director Marvin Nicholson to get out of the way. O’Reilly then, according to eyewitness accounts, shoved the staffer.

Nicholson told CNN O'Reilly grabbed him by the arm and started "pushing" him. Nicholson also said that when he asked O'Reilly to stop pushing him, the talk-show host responded that he was "low class."

O’Reilly soon got Obama’s attention, and the two men spoke briefly.

"They shook hands and Mr. O'Reilly said that he thought Sen. Obama was great and that he loved him, and he'd love to have him on the show," Nicholson said. "And then the senator said that he would think about coming on the show after the primaries."

Then the Secret Service intervened to ask O’Reilly to step back behind the barricade that marked the press area.

Speaking later on Fox News, O'Reilly said he tried to "gently remove" the Obama staffer so his camera could get a shot of the Illinois senator.

"We're sorry we had to have that little confrontation," O'Reilly added, "but no one on this earth is going to block a shot on The O'Reilly Factor. It is not going to happen."

Just more proof in a long string of it that tells us what a low-life you are, Bill. You don't care about manners, or treating people decently –what matters to you is your ego.

Glad I don't watch your show, listen to your opinions, or patronize your advertisers. Hope others will do the same and make you as irrelevant as your opinions.

Yet another example of how arrogant O'Reilly is. Nothing on earth is going to block a shot for him? I have a feeling that a secret service agent with a gun could easily do that. Who does he think he is? I wish someone would tell him he is not God.

Gee, Bill O'Reilly acting like an ass- and this is considered news? No offense, (to CNN) but isn't that a normal state of being for the guy?

O'Rreilly has always talked over people, now he is trying to walk over people. He should have been restrained and charged. How pathetically arrogant he is.

This is precious. I bet Keith Olbermann is going to have a field day with this one.

O'Reilly has always been kind of pushy, so I'm not surprised. Interesting that he's such a fan of Obama.

This story and O'Reilly himself really only require 3 words. Pompous, arrogant jerk.

I'm suprised no one else has commented on this. O'Reilly is the one who is low class. The guy is a joke; a cartoon! And to think that the shot for his show is more important than anything else and that he crossed the line of where the press should be! The Secret Service should have taken him down as soon as he crossed it. He shouldn't get any priveleges that the smallest- small time reporter doesn't get. I'm so sick of Bill O'Reilly and his venomous attitude!

O'Reilly is a bully, a liar and acts like a spoiled child most of the time. That is also true for Hannity. Coming from someone (me) who has voted for Republican presidential candidates most of his life, it may be another indication of how sick Americans are of Bush, Cheney and the whole group of HUMAN DEBRIS comprising Republicans and Fox News.

Who does he think he is?

Perhaps it is time for the Lord to remind O'Reilly that the Lord is Lord, and O'Reilly is not.

What a complete and total jerk!

Bill O'Reilly is the low life, one of those media freaks that think they deserve extra attention from people. He reminds me of Barbara WA WA, who acts like the world won't rotate without her. Who ever watches O'Reilly is outof their mind.

Mr. O'Reilly has lost all my respect – I am sure he could care less about that, but for sure I will never watch his show again.

Fox might really want to review Mr. O'Reilly ethical standards, his factor really is low class.

I am a Democrat. I hate Bush’s presidency. I hated the war in Iraq before we were involved and continue to. I think we are in deep sheet politically and economically due to the money wasted on this war. I believe we need a President who can get us out of it. I am not going to vote Democrat if Obama gets the nomination. Depending on the Republican nominee, I might vote Republican – because he could be less evil then Obama.

Change is a beautiful word that sounded very seductive when used by Obama, especially today considering the sheet that we are in. Without change, mankind would stand still. However it is only a seductive word at the moment. What we need right now is somebody who can and knows how to navigate us out of where we are and Obama is not this person. There were political leaders before that wanted change, but what they achieved was destruction – like in Russia &Iraq. Not all changes are good and it is extremely important when, where and how changes are implemented!
Why Obama will not help in Kenya as a native country?

For someone like Bill O’Reilly to have a TV show is just beyond comprehensible. The guy is a moron, bigot and loud mouth freak. Mr. Nicholson should press charges and Obama will be doing himself a disservice if he goes on his show. I have never met anybody who has any respect for O’Reilly. People like him give the media a bad name. What makes him better than the other reporters for him to say “no one on this earth is going to block a shot on The O'Reilly Factor. It is not going to happen” is just pigheaded and unwise. I cannot stand him. He is a P R I C K

Hey Billy O' – stick to covering your Republican friends. Why would Obama ever consider going on your show or your network? Especially with all that Obama radical Islam crap you and your friends at Faux were spreading a few months ago. You're a fraud.
