I'm a republican, a Huckabee supporter, but I'm not going to knock Obama for what church he belongs to, that would be wrong. Yes this church blends faith with culture, but it's not the only to do so. Greek Orthodox for example has a strong cultural piece, but I'm not about to knock anyone who is Greek Orthodox either. There are many denominations for many people and all may not match my background or belief system 100%, but if the primary goal is to promote values and goodness in this world I support them.

The media isn't the problem, it's people like you. You complain if race is used as an attack, yet you are bigots in your own accusations and complaints. Yes, the church celebrates black heritage. Just like Catholic and Protestant churches represent much of Judeo-Christian heritage. It was stated many times that the church is in no way racist and openly accept and CELEBRATES diversity.

I've never seen people be so outrageously tunnel-visioned. The church is proud of the roots and heritage is has? How is that bad? There is no religious test for President, and nor should there be. Just like I think questions of Romney's Mormon faith are out of line, these are as well.

For once, just get the facts. He loves diversity, and his rally is full of it. For once, quit questioning his faith and church and focus on what he brings.

And for the people who say he lacks substance, go check his website. He has long, laid-out plans for America, including his Blueprint For Change, which is over 60 pages and addresses in detail issues people worry about. Don't complain he lacks substance if you won't even do the research. It's your responsibility to be an informed citizen, and if the media won't cover it, you need to look for it in other places.

RESPONSE TO "K,WI" and 'For Obama supporters"
If your intention was that nobody would actually bother to visit the Church's website and just believe your slander, well, too bad for you because I checked the website. For anyone who can read and understand the English Language to insinuate that the Church is racist or 'creepy' as K, WI puts it is not only a gross distortion, but I believe is an intentional attempt to poison the entire debate with racism.
If your intention is to appeal to the worst in people by inciting such hatred, then you must either have a very bad memory or you have just chosen to ignore the lessons of history.

WHEN WILL EVERYONE WAKE UP THE MOST QUALIFIED CANDIDATE DROPPED OUT OF THIS RACE THIS WEEK HIS NAME IS BILL RICHARDSON. If i had to choose among the top it would be Obama ... because Edwards is a liar. His daddy didn't work in the mill his daddy owned the mill and stop bringing up people who are dying to boost your career you had your shot in `04 and you couldn't even carry your own state and you didn't run for re-election in your own state because you would have lost FORMER SENATOR. Hillary is not electable nor should she be president ..... sorry hillary I would appreciate living in a time without a Clinton or Bush in the White house...

    Thanks

Hillary Clinton is Walter Mondale is Michael Dukakis is John Kerry is Hillary Clinton. One of the biggest changes Senator Obama would bring would be victory.

Religion should be a private thing......I don't care what church Obama attends.....I do care that he does not have the experience or the ideas of leading our Nation....he is just a wanna be who tries to talk like Martin Luther King Jr. and he has a following or people who will follow anyone that says what they want to hear...seeing the crowds yelling for him.......those people would follow anyone even the devil himself if that person was saying whatever they wanted to hear without being able to fulfill the promises he is making.......He is so smug looking....it makes me sick that the Obama followers are getting sucked into his nothingness!!!!

It's reprehensible to lie about anyone, or cast unmerited aspersions on their character. And in Obama's case, it's not necessary.

Obama is an orator who has stumbled onto a message at the right time, nothing more. He speaks of great and laudable dreams, but when asked how he plans to realize them he changes the subject or goes on the attack. When accused of encouraging false hopes, he twists the accusation to one against any kind of hope. One of his supporters was interviewed on TV on Saturday saying that there is no such thing as "false hope." Well, anyone using the brains God gave him knows there certainly is. False hope is hope placed on an insufficient foundation. It happens all the time.

I found it odious of him to start channelling Martin Luther King after the NH primary. It isn't hard to imagine why, with South Carolina coming up. Obama borrows King's imagery and cadence, and even started pronouncing words differently, the way King did: "equality" becomes "equaliteh", "democracy" becomes "democraceh", and so on. I never heard him pronounce words like that before. Remember when Hillary got a lot of flack for allegedly tailoring her accent to her audience? I don't know if she ever did that or not; but that's exactly what Obama is doing.

And it's depressing that some Black voters are buying into this charade. By usurping King's legacy, Obama shows contempt for their suffering and struggle, and for King's sacrifice.

Obama would make a dangerous and destructive President. He's not qualified. He's a great speaker, and he puts on a great show; but that doesn't qualify him for this job. It's as if Elvis were running.

Does anyone care that Obama is black or what church he goes to?

I dont. What does it matter?

The democratic party is the party where we dont care if you GO TO A CHURCH AT ALL.

Wanna know what I care about ?

We already know Bill Clinton knows how to fix the economy and run a surplus budget and sound job growth. Anyone can go read about it. So it isnt much of a stretch that Hillary will do the same.

Before we go on a wild utopia chase with a happy ending. Why dont we live in the cold hard world for a change.

I like senator obama a lot. If he had MORE EXPERIENCE , I would vote for him. There is no way we should be sticking a first term senator with 3 years of JUNIOR experience in Washington in charge of the whole country.

The republicans in Senate and the House would EAT HIM ALIVE . He will have a very hard time lobbying for anything simply because he has no experience Lobbying for anything in Washington on a MAJOR issues. He has never shown any POWER to unite anything in the slightest except ENTICE voters. Thats all.

He has no experience in foreign policy. We all know Hillary has Bill to lean on , and has a ton of experience as first lady. She knows how washington works and how the white house works. These are FACTS.

Obama has never run a state, or a city or even a state. He has no idea how to do any of these things. These are FACTS. We live in a REAL WORLD.

He is a MUCH better candidate in 2012 or 2016, depending if hillary can win the general election.

Lets let Obama serve some time in washington and take on major challenges before we just hand over the whole country to him.

  14. Everyone Be Cautious

I read a great book authored by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins entitled "Left Behind". The book introduces a great man by the name of Nicoloae Carpathia Which ended up to be the Antichrist. This man described as the new Romanian ambassador to the U.N. He was young, dashing, charming, persuasive, well dressed, well spoken, and no blemishes on his record. This man was very popular with his colleagues and the people. He was in the lower house of deputies and rose to the occasion from nowhere to unseat the President of Romania without an election. Everyone become under the man's hypnotic power. Now the story goes on in the next books -Tribulation Force and of course, Nicolae. The Barrack Obahma story–in most respects, paints the same story.

I love you Oprah for supporting this brother, but my gut tells me these are the years before the coming of Christ. Proceed with Caution!

Fred Thompson keeps saying, "What you see is what you get?". Yeah, and what I see is an old fart, Fred. You're running 4th in South Carolina. Why don't you just drop out while you're ahead buddy? Thompson has another good week or so and then we don't have to endure him anymore.

Rudy Giuliani is the biggest stinker in the whole process. He decided to abandon Iowa, NH, South Carolina and Michigan, and is putting all of his eggs in the Florida basket, hoping to get a bounce from there right into the Feb. 5th Super Tuesday. The problem is Giuliani is running out of money and he's running 3rd or 4th now in Florida. What a joke.

Ron Paul, you have so much money, and people really like you but it takes a long time for Americans to see the truth about things. It might not happen. But you've got so much cash that you can run strongly all the way into next month. Just wait for old fart Fred and Giuliani to be toast, and that'll help you. And wait for Mitt to lose Michigan and then have nowhere else to go. Than it'll be McCain/Huckabee/Paul that are left and then the party will have to decide to go with 1) McCain the establishment guy who the values people don't like, 2) Huckabee, the new guy, who the values people like but who the establishment people don't like, and 3) Paul, who is the only Republican who is on the right side of Immigration and the War, who is a christian, but who nobody apparently likes.

Given those three choices though, watch how many people will end up flocking to Paul, who may represent, finally, some serious reform in this country.

Bill Mauher was right- ONLY THE DEMOCRATS CAN SCREW UP THE GENERAL ELECTION.

I never thought I would say it, but Clinton is the most moderate candidate out of the 3. Obama is a Socialist and there is no way middle class America is going to vote for him- especially since he's allying himself with the Service Workers Union and the Culiniary (cooks, maids, and busboys) Union. Go check out Obama's website- look under poverty. Jacking up the minimum wage and pegging it to the inflation rate. Forcing neighborhoods into "mixed income". The middle class in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Iowa will never vote for him in the general election.

A vote for Obama is a vote for the Republicans to win the electoral college.

Go ask Gore what it was like to win the popular vote but not the electoral college.

How could change without experiences? Obama refuses the past and experiences, what does he change from where to what? I don't think he could change anything without professional and experienced politicians, it means he just want to change from White President to Black President at White House.

    Viva Obama!

I was at the culinary union rally and Obama is the real deal. I've worked hard here in Vegas as a waiter for 8 years and I finally fell like we are going to have a president that increases my pay. Obama promised us that we will never be pore again and that we have a right to be middle class and have a house in a good neighborhood.

We workers must unite together against these white people who love money so much that they take advantage of us!

Compairing whether or not spanish language or writings used by Obama and Clinton camps in Nevada would be considered negative to voters in the South Carolina primary due to issues of illegal immigration is like compairing apples to oranges.
Hispanic Voters in Nevada are citizens and the concerns in South Carolina are with Illegal Immigrants, please try not to label the 2 as the same.

I hope everyone realize a vote for Hillary will be a vote for a republican in the white house the next 4 years. Hillary Clinton does not care about anyone but herself, her campaign is trying to stir up the racial divide. I wonder why top democrats is not supporting her. If Hillary Clinton becomes the nominee look for Bloomberg to get in the race. Hillary Clinton supporters are small minded and can't see the big picture. Hillary Clinton took jobs from Buffalo N.Y and shipped them over to India and bragged about how popular she was in India. Hillary Clinton also drowned the voices out of walmart employees when she was on the board. Hillary Clinton has a history of voicing racial slurs. The republicans have so much ammunition on Hillary Clinton and most of you will find out if she becomes the democratic nominee. Hillary Clinton is as phony as two left shoes.

Um riggoNV, I hope you realize that if your pay increases, the cost for products increases to counteract that. Can someone say "inflation?" Some pay increase is ok but the congress already increased minimum wage. We really dont need much more of an increase.

    Obama supporters-

Obama has limited experience however I still have three questions that I hope some of you should be able to answer that.

    1) Why did Obama voted present on key senate votes? Was he scared to take a stand?

    2) How did Michelle's salary went from 70K to 300K in one year as soon as Obama got into senate? How did it happen? That is 430% salary increase.

    3) How can Obama make claims that he was against the war when he wasn't even in the senate? Why did he vote to fund the war if he was against it?

Let me see what B.S you come with

It takes alot to be a doer then a talker!!!

Posting sites about Obama's past church does just a much good as posting things about Mitt's church background. We should be above this! Obama is not making you be a member there, so stop shouting about it and keep church and politics separate.
