(CNN) - Earlier this week, martial arts star Chuck Norris questioned John McCain's ability to serve as president, because of the Arizona senator's age - at 72, he'd be the oldest first-term president in American history.
At Thursday night's debate, McCain had a response for the action star, who has endorsed Republican rival Mike Huckabee:
"Now that Sylvestor Stallone has endorsed me, I'm sending him over to take care of Chuck Norris right away."
–CNN Associate Political Editor Rebecca Sinderbrand
I've been in moderation for 3 hours. Ouch! They must be getting a lot of posts today.
Bringing up his age is ridiculous, McCain is in better shape than most 40 yr olds. Don't worry about his age.
*** think Stallone would beat Norris hands down in a ring! ***
Then you aren't too bright. Norris was world full-contact karate champion for years. Stalone is a Hollywood wannabee tough guy. You've seen way too many movies.
The troop surge in IRAQ is working! IRAQ itself wants to be a free Democracy and they are on their way. They themselves are ready to fight Al-Qaida. Please vote John McCain so we can fix what we've broken and give the good people of Iraq what they want. It would be reprehensible and irresponsible to pull out now.
STICK WITH McCAIN!
Huckabee send Chuck N, McCain send S Stallone. Rommey is begging Arnold S to present him, Rudy is searching for Jean-Claude Van Damme and wait.....Ron paul have no choice but begging Steven Seagal to present him. And I will watch the biggest fighting scene from Hollywood ...lol
Chuck Norris would destroy Stallone
Poor McCain. His humor is outdated.
It's not really relevant, but people love to poke fun at people, so I'm not surprised.
Better to stay on the issues Mr. McCain.
years ago Chuck would have taken Sly out but nowadays I believe Sly would split that 68 year old's wig! oh, and McCain and Huckster both suck and are not fit to be POTUS!
I can hear the music from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" in the back ground.
Wow, who is actually interested in crap like this? It's no big deal. People poke fun at eachother all the time, what a messed up world we have.
THE SURGE IS NOT WORKING!
The only difference is we finally are getting the appropriate equipment to the troops! Trucks and armor that we should have had before we started this war.
Besides I think "only 20 American dead" is a heartless and souless way to think about the lives of these poor children we are sending to war!
As always, the GOP continues to impress with its intelligence.

Oh give it up already, the public bought this reasoning in '04. You can't fix a broken horse with a hammer. Time for a change.

He was getting his hair and beard dyed to hide the fact he's only a few years younger than McCain ..lol
Eric in MD– grow up.
Putting quotation marks around something like "smarts" was to intentionally highlight its use as a different word than the norm. If that's the best retort you can come up with, I'm sorry for you.
So you think Stallone's "wealth & accomplishments" (used quotation marks to indicate repeating your exact words here, just in case you didn't understand) make his endorsement meaningful? You have to be kidding. Just having money & making movies doesn't mean you're any smarter ("more intelligent" if you so choose) than someone else. I can name a boatload of "celebrities" who have money & accomplishments and don't have a lick of sense.
I'll put my intelligence up against yours any day of the week, hon. Bring it on! Or does an intelligent, educated, aggressive woman scare you??????? 🙂
THE nightmare for every movie fan
to maragarita,
are you serious about mccain not being man enough? you obvioulsy have no idea of his personal history or you would not be saying that. even under hellish conditions as a POW he did not forget his oath as an officer and consistently refused early release based on his family name. how after knowing that can ANYONE say he is not man enough.
I'll put my money on Buffy the vampire slayer against either of these two elderly fighters.
Craziness...Chuck would quickly arm lock Sly.
Hey Steve, ATL:
You're an idiot.
There, how's that. Does that mean you're an idiot?
No.
But Everyone thinks you are!
Ron Paul is no idiot.
He is a physician.
He is a 10 term congressman.
He is an economist.
He is detail oriented.
He is like the writers of our constitution.
He is a hell of alot smarter than you ever thought you were.
He is above making comments like "he is an idot".
Steve, what have you ever done homie???
I guess the logical next step after Huck/Norris and McCain/Rambo is Mitt & Gover-nator Arnold! Anyone know who could stump for Rudy?
McCain loses to Mitt Romney or Rudy Guiliani for Republican nominee in November of '08. John McCain asks Hillary Clinton to be her VP on Democratic ticket.
I cant believe rambo endorsed McCain, I was hoping Rambo would endorse Hillary Clinton. Oh well Clinton McCain whats the difference they both agree on amnesty for illegals and free trade-outsourcing. I guess i will just flip a coin to decide on which one to vote for.
I agree with everyine that Norris would beat Stallone. BUT... if the rules were only boxing, I think Stallone would stand a chance.
arnold would trump them all, he will be mitt's vp and IS a cyberkinetic machine. All these years he's been using his knowledge from the future to help mitt make his millions. Now, there's a plot for T4 – a week after mitt sworn in as potas, he vanished. After a couple months of fruitless search, and strong arming the congress, arnold was sworn in. And then the suprise.....
