Clinton holds emotional meeting at Yale

Watch Clinton get emotional at a campaign stop.

NEW HAVEN, Connecticut (CNN) - Hillary Clinton became teary-eyed during an event at Yale University Monday - a moment that harkened back to her much talked-about display of emotion on the eve of the New Hampshire Primary.

Holding a campaign meeting at the Yale Child Study Center, the New York senator welled up as she was introduced by Penn Rhodeen, a public interest lawyer who worked with Clinton when she was in college.

Rhodeen praised Clinton's efforts as a college student and said, "Here is the abiding truth we know - you have always been a champion for children. Welcome home, dear friend. We are so proud of you."

Though it is difficult to see her reaction in footage of the event (see her reaction by clicking the play button on the right), Clinton's eyes appeared to grow misty during the introduction, according to CNN producer Sasha Johnson. When it was the senator's turn to speak she said, "Well, I said I would not tear up; already we're not exactly on the path."

Clinton's last teary moment on the trail occurred after an undecided voter asked how she was holding up. The moment instantly became the most-covered event on the campaign trail on the day before the critical New Hampshire primary, drawing both praise from some who said Clinton had finally bared her true self to voters, and criticism from those who thought the moment was calculated.

Other economic power countries like Japan and Germany would never respect USA if this Hillary is elected as they would view this country full of gullible women.

Oh pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease. Hillary is playing the emotional teary eyed card again. I don't want som emotional driven woman running the country. And if it's fake tears then I don't want her fake personality running the country.

Do we want a president who loves or pretends to cry everywhere for anything? NO. We need someone stronger! If our president is crying, we should not question him or her if these tears are legitimate, like we question Clinton every time she gets emotional.

Come on, Don't just complain that she is crying to get Votes. If she is crying and people are voting whom to blame? It is possible that she was touched by the comments. What is big deal? It is the people who has to apply their mind. She has all rights to be emotional.

Why CNN making it as Headline. They want to hold the the name "NETURAL" but want to work for one person . It is so bad on CNN.

All we need is a president that cries all the time. I can just see the Iranians, Hugo Chavez, OPEC, and France bending over backwards to help Hillary stop crying.

    She has become a joke.

remember 2004 campaign, Ted Kennedy tireless campaigned for Kerry, Kerry got the no mination, but he was defeated by Bush easily.

li looks that Ted Kennedy can control the democrats, but he cannot control the general election

democrats, if you would't want to win general election, then let Ted control you

If you want to win general election, have you own choice. right choice.

Well, whether it's phony or not is a question. But it's starting to LOOK phony, so she should either stop these "emotions" altoghether or start to "drop them" in other times, not just before important elections. My opinion: she is probably thinking it's an issue, because it IS among lots of people, they think she is not woman enough... When i hire a boss i don't care how emotional or sensitive or woman or color they are, but how competent they are... It's not just her... if all these tears are calculated – SOMEONE made her feel she needs to do this. so don't blame her, she is just trying to win...

"How is she holding up?" was the question....I don't think very well....and this is NOTHING compared to being president I'm sure....war....nuclear weapons....etc.

If this is the way she handles "surprises" because someone she knew was talking to her, then she should throw in the towel. There are going to be more tough moments ahead by far. Why do presidents age so much? Not because the job is easy. I can only imagine how her mood is behind the scenes. This is her showing a "real" side which is weakness.
